Yesssss....me!!!! It's crazy...they said it's an allergic reaction to the steri strips or the adhesive glue

I thought I was crazy I am 9 days post op and 2 days ago they started appearing all over my torso. Itch like crazy!

use aveeno anti itch cream like for poison oak. it helps right away

I am a rare case. It's not unusual to get hives after a major body trauma like surgery. I developed idiopathic urticaria (hives and itching) after my c section in 1991. Most people it's short term, but I've itched every single day since then. Every day! All over. Using a comb, leaves whelp a on my head. Toweling off triggers an itching attack. Been on various meds over the years, but currently taking Zyrtec. Benadryl and benadryl cream is also good. If it keeps up or you can write on your skin and it gets raised and red, see a dermatologist.

I was sleeved on the 14th as well, the hives showed up 1 week later.

Yes, I did. I had an allergic reaction to the glue they used. The only thing that worked was a prescription of a hydrocortisone cream with a steroid in it.
