  2. You are doing great! I'm on the same schedule as you - same surgery date. I lost 10lbs before surgery, gained 6 back from water after surgery, and am down a total of 30.5 since before surgery, 25 since surgery. 'How do you feel' is the most important question? I'm down a full size, and look so much healthier already, so I'm still feeling optimistic and positive. My weight loss has been sporadic too - scale stays the same for a week or more, then down a pound or two. My doctor says I'm doing great and told me to expect it to be a slow gradual step down process. It feels like your doctor is putting too much pressure on you for an unrealistic goal - I think because we have a lower BMI number that the weight isn't going to come off that fast.

  7. So, we're basically losing at the same rate. Lost all my weight first week, have only lost a couple of pounds week 2 and 3. Dr said it's normal. The key for me is it's going down, and I know it will eventually go down more. I feel so much better already having almost 25lbs off, it's been worth it.
  8. You've done great losing 46lbs! My surgery was 12/29. Even when I stall and the scale doesn't change, I can feel changes in my clothing (and shoes!?) so I'm hopeful and excited like you.

  10. I agree, walking is key. My surgery 12/29 - lost a lot the week after surgery then stalled for 7 days. Kicked up my protein amounts and trying to walk 3+ miles a day. Sunday I did almost 5 miles, and finally broke the stall - yesterday I was down 2lbs. Dr told me weight loss is not linear - so many changes so your body holds desperately on to the weight, and that it is normal to stall up to 3 weeks and then loose 2-4lbs. More like a step ladder down then a straight line.

  12. Best of luck! Your first couple of days likely will be a blur but you will be so happy you took this step. I'm two weeks out and already seeing a big difference and feel so much better. Let us know how you do!

  15. Hahaha - I had sweet potato baby food last night and thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was amazing.

  18. The changes to our mind chemistry from this process are amazing. I had SUCH a vivid dream last night that I drank too much wine and all of a sudden realized I was eating crackers. I had a mouthful of crackers and pepperoni and I was trying to figure out if I had swallowed any or not and woke up completely panicked. Anyone else dreaming about food? The other night it was pizza - dreamt that I forgot I had surgery for a minute and gulped a piece down.

  23. Smooth Move Tea - all natural, herbal. Works extremely well, been drinking a cup every other day and also taking stool softeners.
  24. Just called my nut and it's because they don't have iron, but when I told her I'm taking a separate iron sup she said no problem then.
  25. Interesting - thanks. It's not in any of the material they gave me but I'm going for my two week post check up tomorrow and will ask.
  26. Me too - surgery on 12/29 lost 16lbs first 5 days (!) but scale has been frozen for last 7 days until this am, and up 1 lb. VERY discouraging.
  27. I was but then switched over to Ollie brand (at Target). Taste like a gummy bear, delicious and I'm familiar with the company, very high quality. No issues at all - I look forward to taking them.

  29. The noises coming out of digestive system pretty much all the time are insane!
