I felt the same as you! I regretted my decision, but that was only temporary! I've lost close to 60 pounds and I realize this was the BEST decision I have ever made. Hang in there!

I’ve lost over 50 pounds and yes, I would like a Tummy Tuck and breast reduction/lift, but mainly that’s for my own vanity. I’m just happy to be so ,icy smaller than before and it’s like I will be entering the Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest, so 🤷🏻‍♀️ meh, for now the loose skin is ok with me.

Love this- except I refused to get in front of a camera at my heaviest weight. I'm sure I can find some where I am in the background.

I noticed even the Flinstones are disgusting. I never believed my son when he would protest lol. Oops.

I know. I saw the pork chop post and mostly was worried. I saw the taco post and hoped at least it was a soft taco.
I HATE the liquid diet but am now finally able to introduce some soft foods. My husband has been acting like the food police and it's so annoying. I mean, I'm mashing up an avocado, not cutting up a piece of steak! I wish he'd do a little research. Did he expect me to live on sugar free Popsicles forever?
For the most part, I think people use common sense and know their bodies, but other times I think maybe hunger drives them mad and causes irrational decision making.

I've seen it too- on people's Instagrams that I know and occasionally look at, and I don't even have an IG account. Facebook is as far as I am willing to go and I got bored with that a long time ago.
It's some kind of app or snapchat filter, I think ???
Kids these days lol. (I'm not even that old at 41, but if I talk to a 23 year old, it's like we live on different planets, and not in a bad way either- just different.)

Not really at all for me except Protein Shakes gross me out- but that's probably because I am sick to the death of them.

I liked the idea of the sleeve that it wouldn't resection my bowels at all. Also, I "only" weighed 225, and I don't know if I woukd have been a candidate for bypass. I never looked into it. I did look into the band several years ago, but people were having problems with it so I waited.

I am going on 5 weeks post op and I would say that between 3 and 4 weeks I no longer felt any discomfort, including soreness. Hang in there! Honestly, unless I see my incision marks, I feel so "normal" again, it seems hard to believe I even had the surgery (besides getting full easier, which is a good thing, of course!).

You mean I can eat something as delicious as this sounds and looks someday? I'm two weeks out and I feel like Oliver Twist at the orphanage, as if I am on a diet of gruel lol.
I realize it will be awhile before I can eat this, but I was beginning to think Campbell's Soup was my future for life, and I never liked Soup very much anyway!
Looks great. I hope you enjoyed it!

Browneyedgirl41 got a reaction from ella37 in Did anyone get a prescription for Emend to take pre op for nausea?
Yes, I did. It may have helped. I didn't feel nauseated until the day after surgery but I had zofran and a transdermal patch to help with that.
It cost $35 through insurance. I had hit my prescription deductible for the year by that time so it's very possible it would have cost me a lot more if I hadn't.

I've never had a heel spur but I do have plantar fasciitis and I say I do have it because even though it's not acting up at the moment, once you have it never really goes away.
I developed it when I worked retail, standing on my feet all day. Ugh. It was the worst in the morning! I would hobble out of bed like I was 93! I weighed a lot less than I do now but had started to gain weight (I was about 145 at the time), but even that's too heavy for my frame.
I used night splints and did all kinds of stretching excersices and got more supportive shoes. It eventually got better. Then it came back, but only in one foot, so I had a cortisone shot. That took away the pain but only lasted a month. So back to stretching and night splints I went.
Then it subsided but my left Achilles heel started hurting and I developed a bump on it (I had damaged it and the lump was scar tissue). I went for physical therapy and had to do all kinds of exercises to strengthen my ankles, plus a massage technique called Astym, which also works on plantar fasciitis. Another technique called Rolfing also works.
My husband got it too from working in the hospitality industry and being on his feet all day. He was no overweight, so even thin people get it but being overweight makes you more susceptible. I hope you find some relief soon!

My husband is far from perfect, as am I, but has been pretty darn amazing throughout this process too. I gotta give it to him. He's very nurturing. He took good care of me as I recovered, plus took over all child care duties of our 9 year old son. For the house I have a once a week cleaning service, so no vacuuming for me, unless a box of Cheerios spills lol.
I think some women just don't think they deserve any better. It's sad.
