  1. Do you have a honey do list? If you're like me, the garage always needs cleaned. But in all seriousness, maybe if he had some tasks to fill his time while you're recovering and trying to relax it would help him feel like he is fixing things.
  2. Yep!! We all can and will do this!
  3. No gallbladder - lost it last year. I don't think it's kidney stones (thank GOD, been there twice already) because it lets up once the nausea passes. I'm not sure if it's my endometriosis acting up more than it already is, or if anyone else felt back/kidney pain if something didn't agree with the sleeve.
  4. I don't think 1 nibble is going to kill you - if it was really just a nibble. Get back on your pre op horse, and just remember that 3 days post op a pizza nibble could cause a leak, which could kill you.
  5. You take the florets and pulse them in a blender until they get to a Rice look/ consistency. Then you can dress it up with spices. Pintrest is my cooking bible lol.I've heard of the cauliflower mashed potatoes but I'll have to look in to this rice thing
  6. I have a Breville Hemisphere. I also have the same Cuisinart immersioj blender which works really well for chopping and whipping. But the Breville does it all well.
  7. I have a variety pack coming from Amazon. Should be here tomorrow when I start my transition to "normal" food. I'm excited to try them.
  8. This is a public forum .... posting in response to others is how it works. I'm really sad for you that you are so unhappy you're here fat shaming in a support group. Especially when people are trying to help you!
  9. Cauliflower rice? Is that making cauliflower into a rice type dish, or can you buy it ?
  10. I walked circles around my house. It seemed to loosen things up and the liquid would go down
  11. Full liquids I did. I can't get enough calories in yet but soon I will be skipping the banana
  12. It's to limit on my plan. That means to me, you can have it on a special occassion or nice dinner but not everyday. Or every week.
  13. Has anyone been able to recreate the crunch of fritos, etc in chili? I love chili but I love it loaded with cheese, sour cream, and fritos. So... [emoji21]
  14. Oh no you aren't the only one. I have an amazingly supportive husband but still feel alone and "regretful" at times. I think it's pretty normal. I do see a therapist 1/wk and have for the past 3 years. She says it's normal.
  15. You're not alone. It happens to me with drinks. And can be loud! I didn't do much broth, everything was too salty so I ate a lot of applesauce. I'm having a yogurt now and it's going bubble bubble. I'm 4 weeks out, can't speak to the does it go away part.
  16. AA. I don't say that to be rude, but I've personally witnessed people go through the program and come out 1000x happier. My Dad has been in it 21 years - that community was all around when I was growing up and they are very understanding people.
  17. I'm eating that one right now. Chobani 100 has 100cal, 7g sugar and 12g protein.
  18. I'm new and I probably ask dumb questions all the time. I also use search, but it's not the best. I've had really nice answers. The only thing I haven't received an answer on is something extremely specific that I can't seem to google or find anywhere.
  19. I know I've mentioned this in a post before, but didn't hear much so I wanted to ask again. Does anyone have any experience with endometriosis and WLS? I haven't had a period in 3 years, because it causes extreme levels of pain. Surgery recovery is nothing in comparison. I'm assuming because of the hormones, my continuous BCP isn't working. Neither my surgeon nor my OBGYN know what to say. I am in tons of pain, and the blood loss from having a period for the last month isn't helping my 500 calories a day. Any experience or insight would be great. I am up all night in pain and it's getting bad enough to where I can't even work. Help!
  20. I am also tall - 5'10. When I think of times I was a happy, fit weight it was 185-190. I feel like the BMI calculation gets off the taller you are. I cannot imagine weighing 140. 180 is my stretch goal. But that's still "overweight" which I find odd. Do any other tall people (females) feel this way?
  21. I cannot get enough calories in. I'm on my last few days of mushies and I'm at 500 a day. I don't know how to get it up.
  22. Hmm crystal light is interesting - wouldn't have thought of it!! Smart husband! I haven't tried the syrups, the artificial sugary flavor has been what I want to get away from. Do they tast sugary or have that sticky sweetness? Thank you!
  23. I've tried fruit with unflavored and it's kinda gross lol. I will try vanilla with some berries. I always use almond milk, since it's 30 calories. Thanks!!
