You can put anything in but fruit has natural sugar and bananas are not a choice for me period. Try some SF Torani flavored syrups, they are good.

My plan allows for a ripe banana beginning Day 15 post-op. (They have too many carbs for me, so I'm going to stay away, but they are on the plan...)

That stinks. You are all probably right. I make my shakes with frozen banana chunks, makes them more like a real shake, cold and creamy

They gave me a banana shake in the hospital 2 days post op. I know they have sugar in them but they're also full of potassium & other good Vitamins. I personally would rather put something natural in my body than SF syrups full of chemicals & 0 nutrients. Just don't go crazy with them.
