Oh Leslie, I'm sorry to hear that. So glad your trying to stay positive though. I don't have any experience with the insurance because I was self pay, but reading post I can tell it was been a war with a lot of people. And insurance never seems to be in a hurry. Well anytime you need to chat you can pm me.
  4. Whats so hard about calling a cab?

Me too. I am just gonna think it will last my entire life, and if problems arise I will handle them as they come.

Oh yeah. I've read some of your post, I think you are a pretty positive person Leslie2lose. You have every right to rant, and as far as rants go I would say yours is pretty tame. I see what your saying. I'm was just rehashing my own experiences. I love my band. The weights not dropping as fast as I would want it too, but it's actually going very very well and within expectations. Knowing all that and still acting like such a giant baby when I got that first fill I was just thinking maybe some of those people were going through what I was... but if you never stop complaining and things don't get better, well, there is something wrong.
  7. What freaking movie is that cookielover? I will burn it and mix its ashes in my Protein shake! Shee- I am sorry the little brats don't have sense and their mother didn't teach them right from wrong. Since they have such obvious issues with weight, hopefully they will not grow up to be chubby or they will despise themselves more than I despise their attitude. Keep your head up.

My surgeon told me my band would last a lifetime too brandyII. Sometimes when I see "I've been banded for three weeks. and I want this lapband out." I roll my eyes a little bit...but then I remember my liquid diet and I feel sorry for them and hope they can make it through alright. I am physically and emotionally addicted to food. When I didn't have it I felt like I was going crazy. I think the only thing that got me through the clear liquid stage was probabley pain medicine. It's almost like going through withdrawel. They are reaching for a new outlet, they are ranting about the thing that is making them miserable because it is the thing making them miserable. And I WAS MISERABLE. I never left a post talking about how I wanted it out, because I didn't...but I was an emotional mess. And when I got my first fill, I DID write a thread because I was Angry because I was back on liquids for two days and this time without pain medicine. I was a bitch, I was stark raving mad and I cried for two weeks. I was mean to my partner, and anyone else around me no matter how hard I tried not to be. I didn't know where to direct my anger. I was angry because I couldn't eat, even though I was glad I couldn't eat. It's an addiction, plain and simple. So I know they don't usually really mean what they are saying. They are just sad, or angry, or hungry and they are feeling sorry for themselves. It's a learning peroid, and it's pretty rough when you are just starting, especially for people like me. So maybe cut the newbies a break. They just don't have it figured out yet. Hopefully they will, and sometimes maybe they need some tough love. Sometimes they will need support, but sometimes they don't need anything but to whine to get it out of their system. Rather online then in real life huh?
  9. Thats crazy Snuffy! What is the normal punishment for first offense here? Anyone know?
  10. I don't have any experience with this, I wish I could give you some advice, but I would just be guessing. So I just wanted to give you some support. I hope whatever you decide to do fixes the problem. Take care of yourself and feel better.
  11. I am a big fan of tasty beverages. I don't know how high in calorie my favorite is...I'm gonna have to find out. Actually it doesn't matter because I had to give them up. 1/2 flute of Martini and Rossi tiny bit of cherry juice tiny bit of grapefruit juice sliced strawberries in bottom of flute. Oh now I'm all sad. I can still have pomogranite martinis however. Yum.
  12. Yep. Just Keep Swimming. Your doing great. Grazer is easy to slip into, but if our wills are strong, it's just as easy to stop. Keep up the great work.
  13. Great Idea Lady Ezma! Lets see...My Mini goals...hmmm Oh! I want to lose five pounds by Next Friday. (can't be too hard with the fill right?) And I want to be in a 22 pants by June 20th when I go to houston.
  14. That would be so cool. Hopefully I will follow in your ever thinner footsteps.
  15. I think I have a 14cc band. If I remember correctly. My first fill was 2cc and this was is 4cc so I now have 6cc in there. She was worried it was too big of a fill and I said "Girl, for $150 I want you to pump it in by the gallon". I could swallow the Water just fine, but I haven't eaten yet....I guess we will see. Man I am looking at my post and I just love these (...) I need to learn to stop doing it. In my mind it represents thinking, or a pause. I edited to take out two of these (...)
  16. I don't think I will make my goal, but I wouldn't have exercised at all this week if it wasn't for this thread.
  17. I'm glad you broke the plateau Ezma. You go girl. Hang in there buddy, I admire your dedication and will power. You keep me inspired.
  18. This was my submission in the "Lucha Libra" art show. I don't really do spanish art so I picked the hero theme. It's actually sposed to be supporting the troops. The lady is pregnaunt and the soldier has died. I know its kinda weird. IT's just what I was feeling. It's oil paint on fabric and canvas. The rest of everything I do is much more upbeat. I will post the happier things later.
  19. Hugs to you ronwifey. I bet it was just a bad day. I crave chocolate at my TOM. Like insanely. Don't be upset. You are doing great.
  20. oooooKAY. Got my second fill. :-) Yay yay yay. I now have 6cc. We will see how that goes.
  21. Thank you all so much, you warm my heart. When I hit 50 lbs I will put up some side by side progress pics.
  22. I know I'm a little late but I wanted to share something with you from one of the most brilliant men ever. I have it taped on my desk. "Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulities arising which temp you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to and end requires courage" Ralph Waldo Emerson
  23. Ouch. Sounds rough. I would call your Dr, if nothing but for peace of mind. Maybe go to mushies for a day or two.
  24. It is possible to drink too much water. But it is a MASIVE amount, seriously. The only people I have ever heard of having problems are kids who were on XTC and didn't eat for over 24 hours and drank the masive amount that the extreme dry mouth induced. I don't think you really need to worry too much.
