  1. Oh. Well that would explain the splotchiness.
  2. I'm sorry Ezma. You have an amazing attitude, and bless you for that. I hope everything goes smoothly in the replacement of the tubing. Good luck honey. Hang in there.
  3. My friend said she had read a study that said anything over 40 was lying. It has been suggested to me by a few people to get the brand "bullfrog" apparently that is supposed to work really well. I will try the Dreft too. Thanks everybody
  4. Congrats on the fills you two! I know this second fill I got has made a difference. I feel more in control, less desperate. I am really happy...well besides this horrible sunburn I'm sporting. I hope that your fills work out for you too.
  5. I burp these little mini burps while I'm eating if I am eating too fast.
  6. So Seafood is not too much of a problem for most people. Fish is soft and good for you. I am from Lousiana and I eat so much crawfish and shrimp. It's my fav. Now steak and such is harder make sure you chew really well. Really really well with small bites. Bread or anything bread like that expands in the pouch is painful
  7. So I am was a little tired of working out in a gym. I wanted some sunshine but I live in the south. Far south actually where you do not see people outside past the middle of May. My partner had a pool so I covered myself with spf 85 from neutrogena. I slathered that crap on too. I swam hard for about 30 minutes then got out put MORE on all over. Read about 15 minutes of a book I had. PUT MORE ON and went swimming again, not too much for the exercise I was just splashing around because some friends had gotten there (WHO DID NOT PUT ON SUNBLOCK EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM TOO) I got out PUT MORE ON Read until I dried off then left. I am burned all over. Even the bottom of my legs are burned. My feet are burned. My armpits are burned. I have blisters on my shoulders and back. My inner thighs are burned. Even my forearms are red. The people who didn't put on sunblock are burnt too...but they are stupid (though I love them) and didn't wear sunblock and they are not nearly as red and miserable as I am. I am severely pissed off. I know I burn easy, which is why I apply and reapply the STRONGEST sunblock I could find. Whats worse is the burn is splochy because the only part of my skin that was protected were the two inch circles where I squirted the sunblock on before I rubbed it in. Now that sunblock was 9 dollars for not a large bottle, and I used it like it was 3 dollars because I am so sensitive to the sun. They are liars and I am blistered and miserable. I've done everything I could think of to relieve the pain, and it has helped, but my shoulders and back is so bad I'm actually considered going to the Dr. Does anyone know what to do for actual blisters? I've tried milk and oatmeal baths, which really helped my forearms, legs, and boobs...but not where the blisters are on my shoulders and back. I've tried vinegar-which if your sunburn is not as severe as mine can take the sting out- I am spraying a numbing spray on the blisters which helps but I can't put it on myself because the skin is so tight and painful I can barely lift my arms. I am going to write the makers of that sunblock a very nasty letter. Those assholes.
  8. I don't care who Lindsay Lohan is making out with. But she sells, writing about her sells, and if she didn't want to be in the paper I don't think she would have been caught making out with that girl. It's what she does. She has to stay in the headlines right? It's how famous people stay famous.
  9. What a perfect Post sb.
  10. I've been looking for them on craig's list.
  11. Congrats new bandsters! So glad to have you here. Five weeks of liquids, ouch. I wish you all the strength and willpower to acheive that.
  12. You know, Obese is such an ugly sounding word. Fat doesn't sound so bad coming from my lips but the way the the letters fall together in the word OBESE make me shiver. Like the word gurgle. Oh I hate the way that word sounds too. Now back to the subject at hand. Mom2_4 when I was just starting out trying to figure out if the lapband was right for me, I was going through this BMI chart, and it said I was "Super Obese" SUPER OBESE! I was highly offended and cussed the chart and told it to mind it's own damn business and that it needed to keep my name out it's mouth. Congrats on your achievement.
  13. Good night Jamie! you are just melting away! Looking fantastic girl.
  14. I'm doing good with it. It's not nearly as tight as I thought it would be. I'm eating ALOT less, but solids are going down just fine. I haven't got stuck or anything...but then again I am being really careful. I haven't got on a scale since the fill, but I know I have lost weight. I would say I am pretty happy with it. Apparently, I need aggressive fills to make a difference. Thanks for asking.
  15. tskelli- I will be glad to hear from you more. Ezma & Lil- Watch out I'm coming up from behind. hehe :biggrin2:
  16. Just keep your head up and keep going forward.
  17. Yeah, I can not take Advil or any aspirin related product because my Dr. ordered me not too. Still to this day. BUT i CAN take tylenol. Can you still take tylenol?
  18. Oh yes. The first few weeks are rough. Your body wants food, but most of all your mind wants food. Real food that you can chew. Just have courage and strength and you can get through it. I was an emotional wreck without food and CRANKY like you would not believe but it passes and slowly a whole new you begins to emerge. Just be patient and drink your protein drinks, they help.
  19. Hi! I was banded in Febuary so I can't answer too many of your long term questions, but anything you wanna know about the first few months of surgery I will be happy to help. Any questions about prefixes or abbrev. I will be happy to answer there is also an abbreviations section that you might want to check out. I would give you the link but I don't know how to do that. Anyway Welcome.
  20. Congrats on your goal. I hope you start feeling better.
  21. I love horror movies, but that sounds lame. I watched "the strangers" last night. That was a good movie.
  22. I'm staying on plan today because I can.
  23. My Doctor told me not to diet. So here are the rules I was given. Eat protiein FIRST then if still hungry veggie then carb Exercise with focus on muscle training If your servings are larger than what could fit on a salad plate you need a fill. Try to avoid ice cream and candy Don't chew gun Don't have carbonation ---They are pretty simple so I follow the rules.
  24. I'm sorry slimmy I hope you find a solution. Maybe just try to eat all Protein in your hunger attacks. It will stick with you longer and without the carbs it shouldn't have a such a negative impact on your weight loss. Goodluck.
