  1. So currently I am rereading every Laurie Notaro book I have. I think she is hilarous. She is one of those laugh out loud and get funny looks arthur. I really like the other book I am reading right now (I like to read 2 or 3 at a time) it's called "Bonk" I'm usually not into non-fiction but it's about sexual scientifick studies and the slack the scientist take because of their profession. My partner is a bio-chemist so we always have sciency books lying around but this is the first one I liked. What about you guys?
  2. Ohhh Hugs, Lynn. Don't worry after that fill I think you will feel like a new bandster. I will keep trucking if you will.
  3. Hi Ericka! *waves* Welcome to our tight litte group, the Victorious Valentines! Your progress seems very average to me. Glad to have you here.
  4. Oh your butt looks so good. And your belly looks flatter. Your doing so great. You rock.
  5. I had horrible bruising after the surgery, and small bruising after my first fill
  6. Ahhh Shoes, hurry back. We miss you already.
  7. Maybe you can put trash bags down on top of the rocks before you put the rest of the layers of rock back on top. Doesn't that stop weeds?
  8. I cannot do Tae bo, I do like pilates and yoga, though I don't do them like I should. Right now I am doing the gym thing half way regularly. What about Water aerobics. I am really interested in that. I know that a class would be mostly elderly, but I love older people. It's children I can't seem to cope with. How horrible is that. A woman who can't get along with children.
  9. Well it's 10 am and i'm already off plan. So I guess I'm staying on plan TONIGHT because I need too.
  10. :thumbup:Oh Pix I am so proud of you. The liquid stage is the hardest so if you can get through I know that everything else will be a snap for you. You go girl. *clapping for pix*
  11. Before my surgery Paula Dean was my FAV. She reminds me of my Granny. Yes thats what I call her, I'm from Louisiana. She cooks like my Granny too. Now I like to watch Turning up the heat with Gavin. I've been really into cooking shows lately. Oh and Nukechick thank you soooo much for posting this. I called my mom and we compared favorites that we swore never to try again. My parents and little sister LOVE Outback's cheesefries, and I liked the blooming onion. I love Chili's chicken crispers. I didn't usually order them bc I try to stay away from fried things but now I have renewed my "baked only" commitments. Thank you. I copied and pasted this in my Feb 08 support group, I hope you don't mind. I wanted more people to read it.
  12. Did anyone try the mayo clinic diet? I hate bacon. If their is a worse diet for me I don't know what it...but I did it anyway. And the grapefruit diet, and jenny craig, and weight watchers, and the worse one to me- LA weight loss- what a money pit THAT was. The slim fast diet, nutrisystems, south beach, atkins. I have to say my favorite one was weight watchers. I actually lost weight on that one and kept it off for a while. I lost 30lbs on nutrisystems once.
  13. Yep. People in general are stark raving insane.
  14. Me too I can usually be annoyingly perky, but why frown unless you mean it? Since that first fill I alternate between in your face perky or raving lunatic. But I am sure that after a while I will settle on my generally perky self personality.
  15. Hes in his earlier thirties I think.... Isn't he. I know he's older than me.
  16. I'm always late to the cool threads 1. 100 calorie packs of oreo's, cheesits, or what not 2. laughing cow cheese like blessedwice suggested on carrots, melba toast or celery. 3. I like to get those imitation crab packages and eat a little of that with a slice of provolone. Protein makes me feel good. 4. Sometimes I like to get the skinny cow icecream bars...but I don't really watch carbs, so if you are don't do it. 5. My personal favorite sweet snack- a tangerine 6. Personal favorite salty- vlasic original dill pickle. mmmm. When I was younger I would drink big glasses of straight pickle juice.
  17. Oh tapshoes I carved ReadySteadygo *N* Tapshoes BFF On the bottom of my shoes AGES ago
  18. Maybe so...but I am in the 75 percentile that thinks your awesome:tt1:
  19. Your gonna be so hot shoes.
  20. BrandyII Thanks for the persceptive. Oh we eat in Louisiana. Life is focused around food, and the Food is really awesome. When I go up north I will order something and the food is bland and dry to me. But here, we eat at church we eat after church we have group Breakfast at work, we Celebrate by eating out, we celebrate with homemade mashed potatoes, souffles, cassaroles. Not to mention, that being so close to TX they want to TEXAS size everything. Texas toast, Texas steaks, Texas chicken friend everything. Then their are the Desserts. Don't even get me started on desserts. I HAVE cut my portion sizes at least 60 percent so that is something. And I really shouldn't complain, but I have been bitchy since I got my first fill. I have been trying to work out and paint, substitute life for food and all that, but I am STILL pissed off. Food has been my comfort for so long that now everything just makes me A N G R Y. Maybe I should move up north, but I would miss my crawfish too much I think. Oh and Peek, thanks for the group hug. You made me smile today. We should start a challenge exercise thread here. I was determined to go to the gym three times this week...and Monday was great, but it was been raining, and I mean flash floods, so on my way Tuesday I had to pull over and wait for three hours on the side of the road. Cars were flipped on the interstate. Some dummies tried to drive through the flood and their cars were randomly broken down in the middle of roads, so needless to say I spent three hours trapped in my car, angry and needing to pee. So I was going to go yesterday...and the news said they expected more flash floods that day so I stayed at home and didn't go to the gym...and it never rained. and I was like GRRRRRRR
  21. I totally agree. The band is not a liquid diet. I would get some taken out. I think the amount of fill is VERY individual and from what I see fluctuoates greatly from person to person, from fill to fill. So don't worry about how much you have in, but only how well it is working. Maybe you should try to stay away from tortillas because they ARE a bread product. I tried that (more than once because I am a slow learner sometimes) I have only had one fill, but I can't eat them really because they expand and get stuck PAINFULLY in my chest. I think you should call your Doctor and tell him/her what is going on. Take care of yourself.
  22. Chili's chicken crispers were defintely a favorite of mine.
