Has anyone experienced this? I get in my Water etc but I get days wheee my body is like no!! I'm a bit nervous as I return back to work on Monday and I can't function like this. 6. I'm 18 days post op and get my liquids in no problem. It's taken me a while to get here though. When soft foods start not sure how that will work. Try to drink as often as possible. You will eventually build up to the Water intake. Don't stress yourself out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. My surgeon signed me off for 4 weeks I'm returning to work just before 3 weeks. If it's to much I will work from home. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. OMG I haven't had a BM for 8 days!! Spoke to the senior nurse at the hospital and my doctor says to take Milk of Magnesium. Have been taking it and NO MOVEMENT!! I'm on the puréed stage eating everything I'm supposed to eat drinking AT LEAST 2Ls of Water a day. They have threatened with a suppository and that has put the fear in me. Please tummy gooooooo!! I've noticed as well my left side of my stomach hurts like hell and I have sharps pains. Dr says that has been because I haven't gone. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. My abdominal binder has been a God send especially when trying to get my walking in the first weeks after surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Starting out the food scale is very important to me. I can't eye 150-200ml of food so I use my scale. I don't have one small enough to put in my purse but I'm on puréed foods at the moment. Once I'm on soft foods or solids then hopefully I will be able to put the scale away and use my eye. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I had a stall after 2 weeks and I've put my scale in my car. Said I won't weigh myself again for at least 2 weeks. Don't weigh everyday it will be disappointing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. OMGosh so glad I'm not the only one. I'm on puréed foods at the moment and trying to get all the protein in and water is hard when you have to drink at least 2Ls of water. OMGosh I can't wait to chew. I miss it so much. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. I understand how you feel. The liquid diet is VERY hard. Don't know how people did it for pre-op and post op. I started the purée stage 3 days ago and I want to cry as all I want to do is chew. Seriously in tears typing that. It will get better we just have to hold on. We've built lots of addictions over a lifetime and it will take time to break these. Believe in yourself. You can do it!! 15. This is what I'm worried about also. Thought I'd not be able to eat as much.
  16. I'm in England and we don't do ounces. My plan says 1Tbsp of protein 1 Tbsp of veg and I can pretty much take all of that. I hear people can't even eat that when they start puréed food but I'm not having any problems at the moment.
  17. So I've started puréed foods but I don't know when I'm slightly full. I've been able to eat 2Tbsp of food. I don't want more after that but not sure how I'm supposed to know? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I'm only 2 weeks and 1 day out and I've had my first stall. I'm a bit sad but trying to embrace it. I haven't 'd in days. I've upped my Water drinking up to 2Ls now. I will have to admit it took me ages to get to a point where I could eat 3 meals a day. Now I am and started puréed foods yesterday. I feel smaller the scales just don't say so. 19. I had tuna purée today and it was lovely. Do you have your guidelines your NUT gave you? It should say on that what you can eat at stage 2. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I feel now. Had a protein shake for dinner. Might try not to eat 2Tbsps. It did take me an hour to eat it but not sure it should have taken me that long but I ate really really slow.
  21. Hi Guys, So today is the day I started puréed foods. I was so nervous to do this because I didn't know what stomach was like. So I had some tuna purée. It was soooooo yummy but I'm not sure if I over ate. My NUT says to eat 1-2Tbsp of this and I ate just shy of 2Tbsp. Now that is dinner time I really don't want to eat anything and I feel like I'm a bit nauseated. I will try to force a Protein shake down me at some point. But the question is on your first day of puréed foods were you able to eat that much? I really couldnt tell when I was slightly full until the last 2 bites. 23. I'm 2 weeks tomorrow and CANNOT wait to start puréed foods. My plan says I can have oatmeal or Ready Brek but it has to be really runny. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
