  3. I have my incisions glued as well but I have plasters on top of them which are waterproof. After 10 days the plasters come off and then they heal naturally. At the moment post op 8 days the biggest incision hurts the most but it's getting better day by day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I've had this as well. Now that I'm 8 days post op I can tell I can take bigger sips of drink without having the heartburn feel or bubbly feel. Feels so nice not to have that!! Try drinks etc at different temperatures. I found warm things go down more. Drinking at room temperature helps as well. It will get better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. @@Kelleylu I was sleeved on October 3rd as well. I weighed myself today and I lost 5 pounds from my surgery day weight.... After to surgery I gained 9lbs!! I'm assuming that has been the fluids. It's been a week today. I've lost those 9lbs and 5lbs off my pre-surgery weight. It will take time we are still healing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Yes it's lush. Some of them aren't sugar free but the ones I bought are from Asda and Tesco which are sugar free.
  9. My NUT told me to make my own protein shake so I'm using Crusha which is sugar free, Almond milk and protein powder. OMG it's amazing!! The vanilla Crusha tastes like vanilla ice cream!!
  10. What do you mean? This thread was started 18/08/2016 by bkskinny. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Feeling better today. First milestone is I was able to walk around the block - mind you I had to wear my ab binder for it but I'll take it. My liquid diet consists of lots of milk and I think this is where I am having gas problems. I had a milk intolerance pre surgery and surgery doesn't seem to have fixed that. NUT thought it would have but no joy. Hang on to those that are going through first week post op. You will have many ups and downs but at the end of the day I'm praying it will all be worth it. 12. Thanks Alex!! Can't wait to feel better.
  13. It's more emotional than physical for me at the moment. Not interested in eating or drinking but know I have to. I'm trying day by day. Some days I have really good consumption other days I don't. I know it will get better just have to take it day by day
  14. I hope I can say this at 16 days. Day 5 and it's not so great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Having an emotional breakdown today. Was sleeved 4th Oct. something tells me this won't be my first and only one. I'm counting down the days until I can have puréed foods now.
  16. I thought the spasms was gas. I have them quiet often if I don't sip my Water and go for a gulp. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Has anyone experienced not being able to sleep at night. I've been home 3 nights now and keep waking up for no apparent reason and it's hard for me to go back to sleep. I try not to sleep during the day because of this issue. Ugh so annoying. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  18. Different NUTs give you different plans. Stick to what they've given you. Don't let anyone tell you you should be eating this amount of protein etc if YOUR NUT doesn't tell you to.
  19. Try a sugar free fudge pop. sent me running. Cant tell you all my secrets Lol Sal. I'm not allowed on my plan. Trying milk and hope that helps
  20. Day 4 post op and today I'm sooooo tired for some reason. Been out for my walk. Had half a tin of Soup, drinking my Water as much as possible. Gas is getting less and less day by day but still waiting to . Sorry TMI. Hope you guys are hanging strong. Have to keep telling myself it won't be like this always Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Gosh couldn't imagine getting on a plane after this surgery. Good luck to you!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Gas pain is getting better day by day. When I walk the biggest suture hurts so I have to slow down walking which helps. Had a nightmare time last night trying to sleep. Maybe had 4hrs sleep. Might try to get a few hours more in a bit. I won't be able to function without sleep. Good luck to everyone sleeved or upcoming sleeves. In the end it will be worth it!!
  23. My hubby just made his dinner and sat beside me and I got so nauseous he had to get up and move in the other room. Before surgery I already had a nose like a dog but now OMG it's even stronger. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
