food waste is something I had to just accept. Cleaning my plate is what got me fat. At the end of the day, me stuffing myself or saving some food I don't want (I don't eat leftovers) isn't going to feed some hungry child in America or the other side of the world. They are starving because of politics, not because I am leaving an ounce or two or steak on my plate.

I have been using Nivea Skin Toning and Firming Gel. I have a link below but I got mine at Walmart. It really seems to help. I also use it on my neck and have seen a big difference in my double chin! PRIASE JESUS FOR THAT! LOL

It helps heal scars, it helps with your skin overall. I put it on all the areas of skin I am trying to firm up. It works, and it helps diminish stretch marks, I think just because your skin overall improves.
I am using a dab on my eyes at night to prevent crows feet.

Miso Soup, egg drop soup, pureed bean soup...

Panera was my go to place. They were happy to strain any soup for me that I requested and I felt like I was eating something "normal" after almost 2 weeks of Protein shakes, Jello and Popsicles.

What's really helped me are those 2 oz red solo shot cups. Since I've been home, every hour on the hour I get up and walk around and then fill 4 of those with fluids (Water, propel, Isopure, etc.). My goal is to drink those 4 during the hour, and then repeat.

Also fill 4 before bed - then when you wake up in the middle of the night, you have some right there to sip on. I spent my first few nights at home waking up multiple times for whatever reason, and each time I'd sip one and walk up and down my hallway a few times before getting back in bed.

NewBeginning2016 reacted to OutsideMatchInside in I'm wondering if my sleeve is small enough?
So we are supposed to say, oh it is okay you took a chance on riping apart your new staples and having stomach acid seep into your chest cavity and spend 3-4 months in ICU because pizza it totally worth it? THIS IS NOT A DIET YOU CAN CHEAT ON! THIS IS MAJOR SURGERY AND A LIFE CHANGE.
People keep posting and acting like this is a diet, it is not a diet, advancing your food, eating things off plan can seriously harm you. This is not a game.
This isn't a person, a year out that went to the bar and had too many chicken strips with beer. This is a person with a swollen stomach and a healing staple line. Eating off plan is flat out dangerous and points to serious food addiction.
If they aren't a random troll, they need to seek therapy ASAP so they can learn to cope with their food issues.
A college associate of mine advanced her food, testing her WLS early and ended up on a feeding tube. This is serious and my "mean" tone comes from a place of concern and horror.

Did your doctor's dietary plan allow for eating pizza less than 2 weeks out? I am like 99% sure they didn't, because that is crazy. Most folks on here will tell you that was insane to try to do. Solid foods are usually not allowed until around 4 weeks, and eating something fatty and carby like pizza even before 6 months is VERY VERY bad.
Your stomach is not going to be fully healed for months. You will not be able to feel real hunger pains and especially not be able to tell fullness feelings very well because it is still very traumatized and swollen. Introducing foods you should not be eating that early is dangerous and you could cause damage or get small particles (like seeds if you ate pizza with any spices on it) embedded in the staple line and cause major complications and even surgery to remove the invasive objects.
Do not screw around and try to test your sleeve. You may be lucky and have no issues, but you are taking major risks with your health doing this.
And you're throwing away all the months of work and planning by not sticking to your doctor's plans and sabotaging your ability to retrain yourself to eat good, healthy food from the start. You need to get your head straight and do this the right way.

My weight loss journey began in November 2014. This has been a wonderful journey. I have watched my body change from being morbid obese to seeing the true contour of my body. Here are some pictures of my amazing results. I have loss 108 pounds so far and have about 34 more to go. Life is truly wonderful on the losers bench and I am enjoying everyday even more.

I haven't posted any pics in a while (hit my stretch goal a couple weeks ago now), but this is my absolute favorite before and after and really summarizes the reason I had surgery. My little girl is getting bigger and I've gotten smaller... hopefully she keeps holding my hand for a while longer. They just get so big so fast!
