  4. @@Ginger Belle - I am in the exact same place. I meet with my surgeon on Thursday to begin the waiting game. I have an approval letter and have jumped through every hoop they could throw at me. Post here when you know for sure. Did they have you start the pre-surgery diet/fast?

  10. @@MozzaWehsha Listen to your doctors and nutritionists. They know the process and the ladies and gentlemen on this forum have great ideas. Remember there are other paths to health as well. Rosemary essential can be added to your routine through conditioner or direct rubbing in your hair and scalp. It works for some to thicken hair and improve skin along with nails. I am battling now with prevention plans before surgery researching everything possible to maintain health through the transformation process. Look into essential oils - they really work!
  11. @@laurarogersclark It is amazing that you have dropped so low. I am glad you did not just stay the path and keep losing. I am 42 and 340 at 5'6". At this point I anticipate an end weight around 130-150 but will take it one day at a time and listen to my body. How have you taken care of yourself now that you are figuring out how to stop losing?

  14. @@James Marusek Thank you. I have eliminated soda so far. Tea... on the other hand is more difficult. At this point, I am trying to switch to decaffeinated and herbal. Walking/swimming happens most every day either 30 min in the pool or walking at least 5 days a week. WHAT ELSE?
  15. @@MissB1982 you are blessed! I am so impressed with everyone who has surgery dates way before the procedure. I have the hurry up and wait plan based on insurance. It is time to GIDDYUP!!

  19. Southern Texas near the Gulf.
  20. I am preparing for an RNY next month - hoping for early July (would feel blessed with late June). My reclassification appointment is set for June 16th so it is time to prepare for the liquid diet. Hopefully, the insurance company will simply approve the procedure and things will move along smoothly. Thank you for the opportunity to post here and join a team. It is so much easier with a crew for support who are going through the same process.
  21. Excited for you! Keep us advised of progress. It is great to have someone so close so we can go through this together.
  22. I have about 5 days from my reclassification where I believe he will start me on my preop diet. Not sure. Waiting for details on Thursday the 16th of June. Feeling nervous and excited at the same time.
  23. I am looking at a July surgery date and will learn more at my reclassification appointment on June 16. I hope for the last day of June or the first week of July after the 2 weeks protein fast.
