  6. @@tlyons72 I have met my deductible this year (this week in fact!) so I will only have to pay around $300 to the surgeon as long as surgery is approved by AETNA. I will make sure they approve it by doing anything they request as I've done so far. I'm blessed. Many have to take out loans to pay. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I thought I was going to read a current thread on goals and started on page one with everyone of you showing remarkable success. Love the comment about bras! My goodness - toast made me smile. Husband/wife affections made me blush. All seem realistic and better yet realized by y'all. Thank you for the motivation!
  8. @@Clementine Sky It is good to know that they work for you and even better to have options!
  9. @@Kindle Thank you Kindle for speaking up. I have believed for a long time that if you have to have something sweet, it needs to be the real thing. If not for becoming sick repeatedly over the past couple of years, I could do it on my own. But when allergies put me in bed for 16-18 hours a day weight loss is halted and survival is the goal. Artificial sweeteners made things worse by inspiring migraines. If I have to have something sweet, then it is most likely going to be a piece of fruit or Sweet Leaf sweetened tea. I cannot say enough about Sweet Leaf. it is amazing.
  10. @@Amurillo04 I called the insurance company and they said that they have complete paperwork and will give me an answer by the end of next week. This is much sooner than originally communicated. Progress is perceived whether or not it is actual. I feel better.
  11. Remember there are only a few true stevia products out there. Sweet leaf is an example. Trivia and nuvia are chemically altered and have other things added. I find the sugar free syrups disappointing. But I've also always been able to taste the chemicals. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. @@Laughkc11 my nutritionist said the same things. She said flintstones just is not adequately absorbed even taking multiple per day. She said to be careful how you take Vitamin D and calcium because what is consumed with them affects absorption. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. I have moderate/severe allergies all year long. They told me I can take allergy medicine per normal around surgery. Allegra, inhalers, nasal sprays were all approved. Talk to your surgeon about your wanting to prevent seasonal allergy responses around surgery and ask if your medication of choice is ok. Mine said they were. 18. @@Amurillo04 I waited too long to be a polite bug. I followed instructions from the office manager respecting the mountain of paperwork that piled up during vacation. It is a good idea to advocate for yourself politely. They are there to help you. The worst they can say is no. Make it about getting your reference number and nothing else.
