Anyone from Houston, TX?
@@cinand38 Thank you for your insight about Primomo. You have been through a lot. Congratulations on successful surgery. How long ago was your surgery with him? Dr. Primomo is so kind and easy to talk to. It has been a blessing working with him so far and look forward to sharing equally positive surgery stories after. August Bypass Buddies!
Lol then there's mine... I went through reassessment on Thursday last week and Wednesday this week the surgeon's office still has not submitted to the insurance company. They said I should know something within the next 2.5 weeks.... So based on what I've seen here and what they told me... Anywhere from 1 day to 2.5 weeks from submission to the insurance company. Insurance Approval Jitters
@@Kyn13 So sorry to hear about the speed bump in your path to healthier living. Remember, the speed bump is there to get insurance approval so you do not have to pay the $40k+ it will take to have the surgery. (BTW - remind me of this if my surgery approval does not come through!!!)

Inner thigh, oh my
My infant daughter used to get rashes in her little folds on her thighs and the doctor prescribed and OTC medication called Lotrimin (athlete's foot medication). It worked wonders and was gentle enough for a baby/toddler. My husband uses it for jock-itch/thunder-thighs as well with immediate results.

Peer-to-peer?
@ Your speed bump is frustrating. Hopefully, the peer-to-peer review will be fruitful.

Headache on liquid diet
@@Elvenprincess This is what my surgeon's office will have me on as well. They also suggested the premixed protein drinks on this website as a once a day alternative besides broth. They said the water/calorie-free minimum was 64 oz and to aim closer to 120 oz. This is quite a detox and a headache makes sense!

Insurance Approval Jitters
I too am in the wait for approval mode. The office manager in my doctor's office said that fast notice of approval is unusual and that a quick notification is generally a denial. I've decided to root for a longer wait so I can get an approval! No guarantees from the office manager but a new way to look at the process.

Life with CPAP
@@Ignatius my CPAP machine has a function that starts the flow slow at first and then slowly increases the pressure over 15 minutes. Check to see if you have this option. I too have the full mask and prefer it. I think it helps me keep my mouth shut (my husband would laugh out loud). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Any Nausea Remedies?
My surgeon strongly suggests peppermint as well. It is safe to put peppermint oil on skin as well. It may be a good idea to apply to skin as prevention in the beginning of recovery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
