  1. Yanno, I think I may just say "tapeworm"!!!
  2. I know you didn't mean it to be funny but your reply was hysterical to me! I don't like to say "never" but the idea of any of my friends seeing my hooha could not be more foreign to me! Besides (hopeful) bf's and medical professionals, my vajayjay isn't a "need to see" area!!!
  3. Ebony - you hush! Even when I was an 8, I would/could snap an underwire, tyvm!!! I snapped one last week and was bitter! Those things are too pricey to snap, dangit! And PS - I hadn't heard the word "dag" in forever!!!
  4. Funnel cakes should be outlawed; they are SO good! I have never heard of a fried twinkie and lord knows I don't need to know of anything else sweet that I like! What always grosses me out is the ginormous turkey leg. I eat meat but that's just gross! Mmmmm roasted corn.....
  5. Woohoo, Mac! I need help, I swear. I've been watching Discovery Health (s/b known as the Obesity Channel) all afternoon. I want to find the announcer for "Inside Brookhaven Obesity Center" and slap him. If I heard him use the word "fat" once, I heard it hundreds of time! Now I'm watching a story about a 410 lb 17 yo boy that's having a DS. I wanna scream, "nooooooo!" Can you imagine being in HS with the bowel problems they have? Eek.
  6. Tap - you are quite welcome! Non-LBers just don't get the humor like y'all do! It's quite cool in Atlanta as well. As my dad would say, "it smells like football weather!" I *heart* fall and cooler temps!!!
  7. Girl, once you find out, you can then tell me! I started standing up and drinking the thick vanilla stuff while the chick was taking pics. So then she tells me to lean against the back and they flip a switch to make the "table" horizontal. And heck no I wasn't strapped down; I was being requested to flop around like a fish, remember!?! Literally, I would bet that I made 6-8 full 360's on that damn table. Oh and she wouldn't give me any heads up before the "don't breathe" command. Try exhaling and then holding you breath - you feel like you're going to faint! But yes, her assistant came up with that cup of thinned whatever while I was on my stomach. OK lie there and drink this (through a straw) as quickly as you can. Drink drink drink! All the while I'm thinking, "Lord, please help me not pimp slap these two!" They laughingly call it the "table aerobics." I said, "uh hello, if I did aerobics, I wouldn't need a damn lapband!"
  8. OK grr, I just lost my paragraph... I'm glad I was entertaining! It was precious, lemme tell ya. And of course the gown was a tad small - awesome! So then they put the "table" vertical again so you're trying to make sure not to get some kind of burn or make some squeaking noise as you slide down the table. What would they have done if I had some kind of handicap or was much older? There's no way my grandmother could've been spinning around like a pig on a spit! In order to try to hide my mortification, I was cracking all kinds of jokes so at least I had the 2 women in there laughing. So much for modesty.
  9. See...novice! Mine was the swallowing the liquid while standing with the x-ray thing. Then the "table" behind me went from vertical to horizontal where they had my big ass flopping around like a damn fish out of water. Turn, don't breathe, another 180, don't breathe....lie on your stomach and suck this diluted stuff down - quick quick quick! Good damn grief, can this be a tad better organized!?! If it weren't so doggone embarrassing, it would've been comical.
  10. I'm a medical novice - is "under fluoro" like when we got the upper GI's?
  11. Now that one I cannot answer - I've never made it through one of those episodes.
  12. So, my banded buddies, are there any questions regarding this whole fill issue thing I need to be asking my surgeon?!? My poor, poor Vols <sniff>
  13. I would like to test the theory - many, many times!!! Posting to ask other Americans - is the Burger King king guy on the commercials not the creepiest!?! Also posting to say I *heart* my TMJ. I haven't had a flare up in years and my damn jaw is killing me. And yes, I would like gouda with my whine!!! .
  14. DIAMONDS!?! You little tease; that's all you're going to tell us? Hello, we need details!
  15. Sign me up! I hadn't heard about Oprah being against WLS. I guess if I had trainers, chefs, et al, maintenance would be easier! Wait, she had that dark-haired woman from NY that had GP on. They're buds.
  16. Ewwwww but why would you want to? Turler - very sorry hun. Stories like yours are good for me to hear so that I know what I'm getting into in, gasp, 28 days.
  17. I always tell my mother/parents than I'm the child that will be living in the south so they need to be nicer to me since I'll probably decide on their nursing home!!! That smart ass bought me a finger towel with that basic saying!
  18. Posting to say I just watched Jon Stewart and am watching the Colbert Report now. I forget how funny they are!
  19. Wendy Williams is ker-azy!!!!!!! Is there anything she won't say? When I think of Steve Harvey, I still think of his bit on "Kings of Comedy" about rowing on a table. He's a mess! (in the southern sense of the word) Going to an Oprah show would rock! Plus, I love visiting Chicago (well 3 seasons of the year)! I hope you get your date soon! I'll save you a seat on the Pumpkins bus, ok!?!
  20. I'm showing my age but my parents always said they had us to change the TV (yes before remotes, sigh) and clean the dishes off of the dinner table! I wish I had a $1 for every time I rolled my eyes at my parents. It's a wonder that I am not grounded still at 42!!! Oh - YIPPEE Susan!!! What a relief, huh?
  21. OK I looked up hypertrophically in the dictionary and still don't know what that means! It is like a keloid? keloid = an abnormal proliferation of scar tissue, as on the site of a surgical incision
  22. OK you are the nicest person ever! You know via the written word one has to make sure that there isn't a misunderstood tone! Sometimes I think that we all have an addiction, it's just that with some of us it's more evident what it is!!! Ugh! My favorite phrase from your post "That must have been a tough ride home..." - hysterical! I can see hiding a pair of shoes maybe but $15k of purchases? The guilt would keep me awake at night! (Of course I despise shopping so the notion of racking up that kind of debt seems almost impossible, ha.) The idea of a goal savings account is great! I was trying to think of something to reward myself every 10-15-20 pounds or so and that's it! <talking to my account...."here's your $100, honey. Keep it safe for momma!"> Off topic - have you heard of pandora.com? I'm at work and listen every day! It's streaming radio that you can cater to your taste. Right now I'm rockin' some John Legend. :-) I like to listen to soul at work b/c it's fairly calming but with a good rhythm (and one of my gf's says i'm an honorary black girl - ha!) I'm rambling....
  23. SRT8 - it needs to begin with [url. After you put the string in your signature, you can click on "preview signature" at the bottom instead of posting into a thread. Somewhere there's a sticky on tickers also. FYI
  24. So, hmm, perhaps I shouldn't sleep with my Blackberry???
  25. Well, Plain, aren't you a ray of positive sunshine!!!
