  1. Try weighing yourself once a month. Then it won't be so disappointing when you don't lose much some weeks.
  2. My doctor said to aim for one bite per minute. Great!!! Thank you so much! I was really wondering about that! Thanks!
  3. 28 days? That's insane! It's not like you're 600 pounds or something! I don't understand why you have to do this for so long! I'm so sorry girl! Just try to constantly think that you HAVE to do this for your surgery! You want your surgery to go well, so it just needs to be done! And honestly, after about a week, most of the intense hunger pains will subside. Try to stick it out for another week and you will feel less hungry.
  4. I really feel like I will be! What just worries me is getting denied. Like I watch My 600 Pound Life and there are so many people who don't take it seriously. They think the surgery is like magic and they won't have to do any work to lose the weight! They cheat constantly and so they don't lose any weight and then they have the nerve to wonder why! But THEY get approved for the surgery yet here I am reading everything I can so I can get the most out of it and I'm probably gonna be one of the ones that is denied. I might be worried for nothing, but wouldn't that just be how it would go ironically? lol!
  5. I haven't had surgery yet, but on my own I dropped 21 pounds and I can actually feel my waist now! It's so nice when I put my hands on my waist and it goes IN! =D
  6. You are probably at the point now that you can do about an hour a day of some serious cardio! If you do that, the weight will drop really fast! Good luck, girl! You got this!
  7. Oh, thank you so much! I'm so worried that I'll be denied because of it! Do you know how long it takes to get them under control? I've been on 2 meds for it for 1 week.
  8. Yeah absolutely no pain and you feel really loopy afterwards. Which is very nice. lol
  9. I'm just starting too. I have 4 more things on my check list to do before I can, hopefully, be approved. We can chat if you'd like =)
  10. I haven't gotten the surgery yet, but I've been eating better and exercising in preparation for my new life. I went to the dr today and I lost another 5 pounds! That makes 21 pounds in total since the beginning of the year! It gives me hope that I'll be able to stick to eating right, years after my surgery and when my stomach has stretched to a bigger size. The only reason why I'm getting the surgery and not just losing it on my own is because I am not consistent and I always fall back to eating bad. I need to surgery so that for 2 years afterwards I am forced to get into the habit of eating right. Then after the first 2 years it will just be a way of life for me. Anyway, I'm really happy that I've stuck to it for this long =)
  11. No, I have not. It was just the day after my endoscopy that he called in 2 ulcer medications to my pharmacy. I'm just really worried that it won't work and I'll be denied!
  12. I don't see the option to add it =/
  13. How do I put those cute little weight tracker things at the bottom of each of my posts that I see some of you have? =D
  14. That's true about walking. I got the band in 2012, but it was messed up so they removed it. But 2 hours after surgery they had me up and walking.
  15. Thank you =) It's definitely not easy staying sober, but I take it one day at a time
  16. Ok, cool. I feel much more relieved now =) thank you!
  17. It is probable because of prior drug use =/
  18. I had the endoscopy done and he found ulcers on my stomach. He has prescribed me 2 medications to treat it but didn't say anything about me not qualifying for the surgery anymore. Because the ulcers are there does that mean surgery is a no go?
  19. What are you guys talking about?
