  1. My surgery was Apr 2016 and I do not have any of those issues. Please call your surgeon. You must intake enough water to sustain you. My water is more than what's required and your protein is so important. It really sounds like an obstruction of some sort
  2. I would call my surgeon b4 I would go to E.R. He is the expert even if its the weekend I would call my surgeon
  3. I started my journey at 425 and 15 months post op I am down to 263. I'm very happy with that..my biggest issue now is all the extra skin. I have an awful time with rashes and boils in areas where there is so much skin..i. getting ready to have a total hip replacement surgery in 6 weeks so w/o this pain I should be able to finish my journey..Dr's say extra skin is at least 50 lbs so my goal is lose another 50 and then the skin removal.
  4. That's why you must choose the safe people in your life....Sometimes people closest to you are the wrong ones to share this with...there will always be judgmental people around you but just remember this decision is yours and yours alone and with that being said there will still be people around you that will try to scare you out of this....but you know when you've reached this point in life you've tried everything else..alot of people also think that this is the easy way out...but this is NOT easy and it's a tool to lose weight permanently Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. You must research the doctors you choose but that goes for any type of surgery and get patient referrals as well as doctor referrals..don't go just because the price is right...there could be an underlining reason why the price is much lower than others and it could be a life sentence...do your homework..most can be looked up online and see their reviews as well Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I still get my clothes at Goodwill cuz the weight comes off so fast and I don't have to worry about wasting $$ on clothes all the time Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Another thing you can do is add a little bit of protein powder in everything you eat, like pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal etc Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I was also one of those people who sweat all the time and living in the South with humidity was horrible but now I have to take a sweater everywhere I go cuz I'm constantly cold all the time...Its totally different but they say it should go back but so far I'm still cold Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. My tastes have completely changed. I no longer can tolerate eggs or rice of any kind and that includes foods that have egg in it, such as potato salad...etc... Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. That makes it easy enough to keep it private. I couldn't cuz I was 300 lbs over my goal weight when I began and I lost it so fast in the beginning I couldn't have kept it private but I was ok with that cuz I fought soo hard to get my surgery done with insurance...I'm almost at the 200 lb weightloss 15 months post op Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Yeah you can get a lot of info from this site.... Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. How much were they? I love those? Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. You are looking good. I'm 15 months post-op and I went from 425 down to 265....if I can do it you can do it! Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. You are okay the first couple of months are tough but after that you will be very happy with your choice. I am 15 months post op and I've lost 165 pounds and feeling great but the first couple of months were very hard! But now I couldn't be happier Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I am 10 months post-op and I weigh myself 2x a week and will probably continue to do so. More than that will make me too critical over the numbers on the scale. In my 10 months I have not gained any weight, thank you Jesus. I work out at the gym regularly and at the weight room at work. I've cheated only once and didn't even enjoy the food, which really surprised me. I worked and fought really hard to get approved for my wls so i really wasnt ever thinking about cheating. Anyway I slipped one day but went right back to fighting the next.
  16. Mine was thru insurance and took about 2 weeks as well Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  17. You might want to get those results and go b over it with your PCP. Your Insurance is looking for medical necessity.. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  20. Sounds like he was very insecure but all men will not react this way Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  21. That was me as well...I'm 9 months post-op and I can eat about 6 bite full and I'm done. I cannot even eat half a burger but that's how it should be. When you begin to feel that full feeling STOP cuz anything over that will be over eating and you will have that pain. I wouldn't want to take meds to increase my food intake I want just the opposite...if you feel something isn't right talk to your doctor or his nurse. My surgeon's nurse is awesome and very knowledgeable so it's at least worth a phone call Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  22. People who gain weight generally are over eating and not paying attention to the feeling of being full and/or they are drinking their high calories. When u can only take in 3 oz u can't really gain unless it's in liquid (drinking form) or you ignore your "full" feeling.. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  23. It's going to take some time b4 your diabetes goes away but at the same time there is no guarantee because there are even skinny people with diabetes Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  24. I'm 8 months post op and I don't get my Protein in either the drinks are nor good but my labs are good so I'm not worrying about it as long as my levels are normal... Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
