Why? Why? Lol. I'm on clear liquids for another 2 days, then on to full liquids. I am so hungry. No interest in the chicken stock- it tastes gross to me now. Sometimes I get miso down ok. Drinking Water and popsicles. Sometimes juice. Shouldn't I be less hungry post-op?

I am now 20 days post op and for the first 2 weeks I was hungry all the time. I would wake up feeling like I was starving to death. It was real hunger and not head hunger and it didn't go away by drinking. Actually I never felt full even once during my first 2 weeks. Then I moved to puree foods and now I feel much better. I still get hungry but it is natural hunger. I now wake up feeling fine and eat breakfast then I get hungry a few hours later when it is time for the next meal. I also now get very full on puree food but it doesn't last for a long time unless I eat too much.

I am in the same situation as you!! I'm one week out and always hungry. I have been so discouraged. I spoke with my NUT today and she said to add two scoops of Protein powder to 8 oz of milk. That has been a game changer!! I finally felt what full felt like. Good luck!!

I guess it's good habit reinforcement bc if I'm going to change my eating habits, I'll still be making meals for my child. I've got to learn not to graze off her plate. That's one of my waiting issues
