  1. I had gastric bypass Jan 18. My highest weight was 235. My day of surgery I weighed 192. My current weight today is 136. Boy has it been a journey of ups and downs but well worth it. I will however be getting plastics in the near future. I went from a 38 DDD to a b cup full of skin YUCK!
  2. I had Dr McBride and did a two day liquid diet before surgery. It was because my BMI was already almost too low she did not want me to loose anymore weight before surgery.
  3. I'm so sorry you are being treated like that, it's not okay. Yes, I had a uncontrollable high blood pressure. Maybe just call the bariatric clinic at the med center and see if they have any suggestions for you. It really sucks that professionals think they can treat you that way. One of the nurses that cared for me after my surgery actually referred me for a job and I started working at Nebraska Medicine in March after my surgery. So I guess I'm kind of partial. But it a wonderful hospital and I've only ever encountered the best of the best there! Wishing you lots of luck. And if you have any questions at all don't be shy ?
  4. Hi I am also in Omaha Ne. Have you thought of switching your care to Nebraska Medicine? The staff there are excellent. Dr. McBride did my surgery Jan 18. The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. At the time I had Medicaid. I did 6 months of supervised diet and then my surgery. I had the gastric bypass. When my surgery was first submitted to Medicaid it was denied. Dr McBride did a peer to peer with the insurance company and they overturned it the next day! I was scheduled and in surgery two weeks later.
  5. Thank you. Could someone please tell me do you use multiple patches for or just the multivitamin patch?
  6. I ordered the multi one from here is that the only one indeed?
  7. Do you use several different Patches or just the Multivitamin? My dr has given me the okay to use them since I'm having a hard time getting mine in. I'm wondering if I just need the multi since it has the Iron b12 Calcium and d that I need
  8. OK Yes they are the chewy ones. I don't like them because it feels like it takes me forever to chew them down and I don't care for the taste it leaves in my mouth. Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I have the bariatric advantage chews in orange. I don't like them. I recently got their cinnamon flavored chewables. I like those much better. Can I take two in the morning and then one at night? Do they HAVE to be split throughout the day?. I think if I could do two together I could get them all in. 10. Thank you. I'll set that same schedule for myself. What brand of calcium are you taking? Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
  11. I'm having a hard time getting in three Calcium citrate chewables a day. If I'm lucky I get in two.i believe it's because of the two hours I have to space it between my Multivitamin. I'm concerned about the long term effects this could have on my body. Any suggestions? Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App

  16. I agree with you. I'm one of those who likes to know the why's of things. I'm curious...Why does dehydration get so serious for us so quickly after bariatric surgery as opposed to before? Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
  17. I've been in a stall since week 2 . I had surgery Jan 17. Since week 2 I've only lost 3 pounds. Very frustrating. Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
  18. I'm so sorry. That is not OK. You need supportive people in your life. Do what makes you happy, what you know is good for yourself. I would consider taking a break from the friendship. I can't imagine how her attitude will be after you have surgery. Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
  19. I absolutely love the color of your dress! You look amazing! Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
  20. 1-17 was mine. The only part that feels "normal" about these roller coaster emotions is knowing I am not alone. Last night I spent my entire night crying until I fell asleep. When I woke up I cried for another couple hours. It really sucks. I wonder how long does this last? Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App

  22. I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Your body will let go of it. Some just loose at a slower pace. I'm 15 days post op and have lost 10 pounds. I'm not really worried because I know I'm doing everything right ...Getting in my Protein, Water, Vitamins and walking an hour a day. Good luck! You are doing fine. Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App Yum that sounds good Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
