  1. For the first 3 months you should have nothing but Clear liquids and Protein drinks then after 3 months you can begin with soft like eggs and still Protein Drinks. You can find a book on gastric sleeve that will tell you step by step what doctors recommend. I'm 7 months post-op and eating pretty much what is tolerated. Be aware that if your sleeve surgery was done properly you may not be able to tolerate what you once could and your taste could change.....my tastes have changed and I cannot tolerate eggs or mayo, sounds weird I know.. I've lost 117 to-date after 7 months so you will do great just follow a reputable diet and not this Mexico doctor and like the last person said find a u.s.doctor asap, for your health...but do your homework and see how many of these surgeries doctor has performed and see what reviews doctor has been given by his/her patients.. hope this helps! Good luck!! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  4. I do insurance billing and every insurance has their guidelines but one thing that IS a requirement by all is "medical necessity". Your doctor must prove that this surgery is medically necessary regardless of your BMI....hope this helps. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  5. I had the same problem you are experiencing. Mine lasted for about two months. Mine was so severe I couldn't even take down any Vitamins but I'm now 7 months post-op and I've lost 117 lbs and no more nausea issues. My doctor put me on the same medication at the time. Your doctor is right it will pass in time. .......let me know if you have any questions or just need to vent. The beginning is very very hard but it won't last I promise!! 17. I am 3-1/2 months postop and doing great. I still cannot tolerate eggs but I was never a real egg person prior to surgery. My most severe issue following surgery was nausea and it was very bad to the point where all I was really consuming was water. I couldn't tolerate anything not even the protein drinks. But now I'm doing great. I've lost 82 pounds to-date and couldnt be any happier. Even with the extremely tough start of this new life, I couldn't be happier now. I still eat very little (approx) half a cup but I get full with that and am very happy watching the weight fall off....u too will reach this point as well! Hang In there!!
  18. I suffered with severe nausea for approx 6 weeks post op but now I'm 3-1/2 months postop and no more nausea unless something disagrees with me. You will get better. I took meds under my tongue.. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  19. I'm 6 weeks post op and I can barely eat. I can't seem to tolerate eggs at all...but I try to stop b4 I feel that horrible pain..sometimes I can yet other times the pain comes first. I normally don't put more than 1/4 - 1/2 cup food in front of me so I can't over eat.. it helps me to eat like this. Hope that helps others
  20. He sent me to the hospital today for a specialized xray and some blood work and xray confirmed his diagnosis so he prescribed meds and I feel soo much better already.
