  1. I think added the forums for the other surgeries might have been a bad idea. The DSers are brining it up on OH and are going crazy about it...uh oh i see some problems coming on
  2. WTF...anyone else annoyed at those LapBand ads on TV??! I know this is mean, but....
  3. One more reason not to get the lap band... Dissing DS? What's up with this? Yet another reason NOT to get the lap band
  4. From the OH page- Living with the Duodenal Switch: Supplements and Side Effects It is necessary to take a number of nutritional supplements after the operation than after gastric bypass. These usually include: Multivitamins (usually twice per day) Iron supplements (usually twice per day) Calcium with vitamin D (usually twice per day) ADEKs (fat-soluble vitamins) usually 3 times per day Additionally, there are some very significant side effects that accompany this procedure, including: Frequent soft bowel movements (up to 4-6 per day) Frequent passing of foul-smelling gas Changes in body odor Gas pains or bloating Hair loss Intolerance of certain foods (varies from person to person) It is difficult to say exactly which of these side-effects you will experience because everyone is different. We have listed the ones that are most common. Why must everyone on that site lie that they dont have poop problems? lol

  12. So everyone getting banded in November...or supposed to be...we need a group name!!! Any ideas. So far all I have in mind is: Nostalgic Novembers November Thinsters Notorious Novembers New Life Novembers Next Step Novembers Nutritious Novembers It doesn't have to have November in it but it needs something representing it somehow I think. Nor does it need to rhyme have the same letters. Come on guys we need a name Also after we have one...I can make a graphic for us all...if you want...I made my froggi one in my siggy. Let me know
  13. LOL can you imagine. "Are you winking at me????" "No, I only have one eye."
  14. It sounds like an allergic reaction to the bandages that you had. I get those too if I have adhesives on my skin too long. From band-aids even. Just keep them clean and if they itch use your hydro-cortisone.
  15. lol it's surprising how some of these 'sports' become olympic games...lol next they'll add bean bag tosses and horse shoes.
  16. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I am sure things will go fine.
  17. yes it's hard but it's worth it. Losing weight before surgery like this shows the insurance you really want the surgery and makes the surgery easier when it finally comes around.
