At the start of everything I had 249 lbs to lose now I have 223 lbs to lose. You'll do good no worries and good luck! My surgery is sometime in November!
  6. I was told no straws after being banded.
  7. I already have 9 tattoos but I plan on getting more once I am banded
  8. If I was a republican I wouldn't vote for McCain because of his choice of VP. Not because of her gender...but because of her beliefs. She is against abortion and gay marriage, for that I wouldn't vote for them.
  9. I meant if they just had a bmi of 35-40 with less than 2 comorbids of if they were below 35 bmi. People make mistakes. Get over it. I never said that someone didn't LOOK like they needed surgery, or that someone didn't look overweight ENOUGH to me. Everyone is is fat is fat. Everyone who is overweight may it be 30 lbs or 300 lbs is overweight. If she has the comorbids good for her. I was saying what my surgeon requires...and if I made a mistake and said hers wrong...I am human.
  10. So this thread makes me immature and jealous? Okay then. Also I am not judgemental at all. Because my surgeon doesn't do surgery on lower weight people has NOTHING to do with me. Yes, I started this thread...based on a conversation my mother and I had. It doesn't mean I am against lower weight people getting surgery. I never said I was against it, nor will I ever be against it. And people asking questions or having opinions doesn't make them immature or jealous or judgemental. You don't know a person just from a thread.
  11. What's wrong with the ahem thread. Alex told me a few weeks ago that it was fine.
  12. Today 2 mile brisk walk 40 minutes 10 minutes arm exercises
  13. my fingernails i never paint...so i think my toes can stay painted :| lol
  14. I got all my info on all my tests for September in the mail today. No nail polish for a sleep study? I just painted my toenails last night for the first time in like 2 years. I want September to be over quickly so I can start my preop.
  15. Meh. My period ended on the 19th and since then for 3 or 4 days I have had brown discharge and then bloody clots and leaking then brown discharge...bloody...over and over and over again. So frustrating.
  16. I'll find out which date for sure in October or the end of September. But. It will either be November 2nd, 10th, 17th, or 24th. I am hoping and praying for the 10th. Just works out best.
  17. I was depressed for awhile and haven't been working out cause I was worried about tests for surgery clearance. They added a bunch more. But now that they are all scheduled and surgery is still on for November I am ok. 4 days ago I did 1 mile 2 days ago I did 2 miles and on the 26th I did 4 brisk miles
  18. A lot of surgeons in west virginia and other states won't do WLS on people unless their BMI is 35-40 with 2 comorbids or 40 and over with some or none. It's just how a lot of surgeons work. It's not my fault. I love my surgeon. I was just saying his policy.
  19. You're welcome.:w00t:
  20. If her BMI was between 35-40 and she didn't have at least 2 comorbids yes he would ask her to leave/tell her to find another surgeon. He only operates on people who have a bmi of 35-40 with 2 comorbids or BMI of 40 or over with comorbids or not.
  21. I really don't think people understand the higher BMI people sometimes. When they see people who weigh around 200 lbs they think to themselves "Why can't I be that size?" Least that's what I think. Your answer wasn't the nicest...but I guess I could understand it. If you were at my seminar though my surgeon would have asked you to leave and said you wern't qualified for surgery.
  22. Congrats Fairy!!!! :w00t:
  23. I was wondering the same thing. I remember her saying something about wanting to get preggo. But I don't remember how long ago that was. Congrats Fairy if you are!!!
  24. Ahhh too much fry talk. I used to be a french fries addict! I guess it's a plus I've never been to outback steakhouse before...LOL I know sad. I live 15 minutes from one.
