Psyc evaluations
In my psych eval we talked about everything. First off he had me take a long true false test thingy a lot of the questions were repeats that changed the words around. He asked me what medical probs I had depression etc. Asked me if I was on meds had had prior counseling....then he printed out the results and we talked about them and my past and how I am doing now and what I know and don't know about the surgery. The test took about 30 minutes and I talked with him for about 2 hours. My psych for it expected me to know quite a bit about the surgery and my weight/bmi etc or he said he would have declined me. At the end of the appt he told me I was approved and that he would fax the dr's office later that day..and said I didn't need anymore counseling because I had been going to counseling for my psychological/emotional probs since I was 15 and had delt with it.

Hello from WV
Yes...Saundra I was told to not use straws ever again too. It causes more air to go down into your pouch and can cause discomfort and gas. I was told it just wasn't very pleasant. So what you're doing isn't stupid nor asking this question was...tis a good question.

Are We Ready For A Woman VP?
I hope Palin digs herself into a bigass hole during the debate. Biden should just let her talk up a storm. Should do wonders.

Did you think you had sleep apnea?
I didn't think I had it but I did. Very mild though. I had 7 episodes on my back 1 to 2 seconds long and 12 on my side 1 to 2 seconds long. They felt it wasn't bad enough to put me on a cpap and cleared me for surgery.

Hello from WV
I don't have a sam's membership lol it sucks. I would like to have the vanilla protein powder you have...how would you get it to me though. Also how is it's nutritional info compared to the shakes you drank. I want to be sure I will lose my 5 lbs or MORE on the preop when I start it in a few weeks.
-
Hello from WV
Where can I get those slim fast low carb shakes and how much are they...or is there any protein powder that will work about the same and be low carb too. I don't want to pay a ton of money buying 2 weeks worth of stuff for my preop lol.

Hello from WV
I know it's not too difficult and I am not worried about the actual dieting and stuff. I am just worried that I have hit such a plataeu with this 6 month supervised diet for insurance that I won't lose the extra 5 lbs they want me to lose on preop since I've been stuck at 392 and not moving for 2 weighins. Jeannie said something over the phone yesterday like I had to lose 5 within a week of the diet? I dunno...not exactly sure I just know she said 5 lbs. It's not like I haven't lost anything this whole time. I've been eating well, exercising, etc...and losing 26.5 lbs in 5 1/2 months is good. I am just hoping so hard that I break 292.5 and get down at least 2 or 3 lbs before preop. I want to break this plateau that is getting me depressed. I want surgery time to be here and to be in bandland. The wait is almost over but now it feels like forever when everything else went so quickly.

Yep, I exercise 5 to 6 days a week. Maybe I'll break the plateau on my last weigh in for my 6 month diet.

Hello from WV
My preop diet will be Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch and 4 oz lean meat and veggies for dinner for 2 weeks. I'm just worried I wont lost anymore I've been stuck at the same weight for the past few weigh ins. Thanks. I'm worried they will find some random reason to decline me. They better not after all this bullshit I've gone through with them. Insurance is a big joke sometimes.

I'm worried about having to lose 5 lbs on my preop diet when I finally start it. I have been stuck at the same weight my past 2 weigh ins and since I've been stuck at losing 26.5 lbs I'm afraid I won't be able to lose anymore with preop. My last 6 month weigh in is October 3rd...hopefully i break the plateau. My preop diet will be protein shake for breakfast and lunch and lean meat for dinner for 2 weeks

Hello from WV
I dunno how Kaplan weighs...I'll find out in october though lol. I know what you mean about the insurance thing. I am just getting to where my paperwork will be sent in October 6th and I am worried that they will find some reason or something just to deny me. I am quite worried about it. I've lost 26.5 lbs so far...But I could have lost 100 lbs and still been over a 40 bmi lol. Don't fret about it too much. Good luck.
-
Hello from WV
I was told I have to lose 5 lbs on the preop diet...even though I've already lost 26.5 lbs on the supervised diet so far lol. Did you all have to lose 5 lbs and is it hard on the preop diet? I am worried about it. =/ I know it's dumb to worry about that though but I am.

It's Finally Over!!

Hello from WV
I'm waiting for October 3rd so i will be done with my 6 month diet and stuff will be going into insurance. Toward the middle of October I should be having my EGD and getting a surgery date...I was already told it will probably be November 3rd or 10th. I don't care which one I just want an official date! Everything has been going so fast and now it seems so slow!

Hamsters???
My hamsters that happen to have tubes do that all the time. They take their bedding and move it down or up the tubes and it gets stuck...they eventually just dig through it. They're either trying to get clean bedding to where they want or trying to get the soiled bedding out of where they sleep. Very very normal.
