  1. I am5 days out from surgery and feel great! Energy is great and I had no complications or problems following surgery. Keeping up with fluids is not an issue and have felt no pain with drinking at all. So excited for what's ahead Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. You are all correct.. I just need to let it go. I work with a small group, and I was completely open about my surgery as I figured I will obviously look different so why not be honest. I know how my company works, and I am sure she ordered them herself. Oh well, I was expecting flowers or something to brighten the day..... never expected food! @@smg I am doing very well. I have been sore, but today I feel pretty good. Trying to deal with the clear liquid diet. Looking forward to full liquids. The hardest part for me so far is not being able to comfortably sleep in bed. I have been sleeping in a chair in the living room since Tuesday. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. So my boss knows that I was going out on medical leave to have Bariatric surgery. She told me she was sending a gift for me to the house. I just received a box of gourmet cookies!   8. I had mentioned it in my post, but it resolved the 2 bad day after surgery. Like others mentioned I think it was all the pain medicine in me. Today is my 3rd day out and I'm just very sore and slow going. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I had surgery on Monday at 8am and got home today. All went well, very little pain and luckily I have not experienced any gas pain. Getting my fluids in with no issues.   12. So I have read many threads and personally spoken to a few people who have experienced dehydration after surgery. I am concerned as I am already not a huge Water drinker and I know the importance of it after surgery. I have ordered something to add to my water... picture below.   17. I tried calling my surgeons office this morning but have not gotten a call back because he has been in surgery all day. I am currently in the 2 week pre-op diet phase and I have a terrible headache and need to know if I am allowed to take my imitrex. Does anyone happen to have experience with this? Thanks!   21. I am allowed to have black coffee pre-op, and my MD said I can also have black coffee and tea post-op for the first week, and then I can add milk to it starting week 2

  24. Hey all~ Anyone else have a surgery date of October 10th? I start my pre-op diet on Monday Sept 26th. It really does not sound to bad...I can have a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch, and a salad with protein for dinner. I can also mix in things like broth, and Popsicle's. Would love to connect with others that have the same date! Nicole
