  2. Hey everyone... I would like to start by saying I will call the MD tomorrow if this persists but I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same... Surgery date was October 10. Today I have been experiencing and uncomfortable pain just under my left ribs. It's been on and off all day. Not piercing, just annoying. Anyone else experience this? 3. Thank you:) My highest weight was 244, and the day of surgery I was 230. My surgery was October 10th. We all got this!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. 30 pounds lost in total since pre-op. First picture is from week one, other is today in week 3. Already happy with my results!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. When I mentioned it above I was referring to the swelling in my stomach. After the operation my surgeon told me that it was swollen but it would go down, and my stomach would only hold 2-3 ounces once that swelling was down. I can feel it because I can only take a couple bites and I am FULL! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. That's how I felt when I first started the purée as well and then suddenly it changed! Now I can eat a few spoonfuls and I am done!!! It may just be that the swelling has not gone down yet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Anyone else have issues with Aetna and their short term disability? They have been such a pain to work with! My surgery was on October 10, and my doctor had me out until The middle of November. Aetna only approved me until the end of this month. I have had to call them a million times and have the doctor office fax over additional clinical documentation. I have been calling all week and have been told they have what they need. Today the Aetna case manager calls to say they didn't get the correct notes. SO FRUSTRATED! He tells me despite what the date is the doctor gave him he will review and make a determination if o should go back??? What??? Aetna can go against the Doctors order??? 10. Totally agree with this post! The post that bothered me was the one regarding the halo ice cream. To many unnecessary opinions were given on that one. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I was sleeved on October 10th and on purée. This may sound silly but I feel a huge difference today! I can hardly eat before feeling sickly full. Thinking the swelling has gone down and maybe that's why it's so totally uncomfortable? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Ughh i was sleeved oct 10th and still on full liquids and feel starving. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App I was on liquids for 21 days. It was never a hunger issue for me; I haven't really be hungry since the surgery, but I was sick to death of those liquids by the end. Now that I am steadily adding in solids, I am retiring those liquids one by one, and I am hoping to be done with Protein powder on a daily basis in about 3 weeks. That stinks!! I think a lot of the purée foods are sliders. I think once on solids it will be different. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I was having terrible back pain as well. Today I went for a pedicure and sat in the massage chair and it was wonderful! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I was sleeved on October 10 and I am on purée and sometimes feel like I'm eating to much. My hw was 244, surgery weight was 230 and cw is 218. I feel like I am in a stall because it has not moved in the last couple days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm on zero pain medication. I only take protonics and that's all. Hopefully it gets better:) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. Oh goodness.. sorry to hear that you have had a rough time! How did you know you had a leak? What were the symptoms? I have read where others were told to start back at liquids and work your way through the stages again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
