  1. Man are you going to have some reading to do to catch up. It's all I can do to stay current with what I miss over the weekend! I'm making a motion to lock the PJTP thread (due to it's unmanagable length) and start PJTP part 2. Anybody second the motion?
  2. Ummmmm, I'm going to go with "severe bipolar disorder", vs. fame and fortune.
  3. Isn't there supposed to be a "As soon as you can snatch the pebble from my hand" moment to determine that? I bet the cousin was pissed that they "won" the MIL lottery, eh? Mental note to self...."Do not cross Beth" Hey! Look who showed! Sheesh, quit being such a stalker, SNT! Nah, Ceradad is way cool. He does bench more than me, tho. Uh, I'm aware that this is probably an offensive comment, but......straight guys wouldn't dress like that. Hey! I can totally hear you! No football?!? No way! Football rules. My beloved Longhorns have gotten screwed. Big-time screwed. Awesome. Sounds like loads o' fun! Busted! Tap, sounds like a veiled confession of gray pubic hair. Sorry, I had to. It's my job.
  4. plain replied to Donna113's topic in The Lounge
Facebook? Don't listen to Susan, SNT, etc. and set up a facebook account. Facebook is for nerds! MySpace rules!!
  5. I have heard rumors of internet sites pandering to the lurid side of humanity. As for this "Stockholm Syndrome" type of relationship you seem to be experiencing....clearly the power of these individuals seem to have a synergystic effect when they are in a group. Prescription: Equip yourself to deal with the type of dysfunctional family that you describe above by ingesting peyote and listening to "Helter Skelter" .
  6. Ridiculous?!? Why I'm giving out nuggets of wisdom here, slim. Gems of wisdom, even. You'd know in 2 ways, tap: 1) The awkward silence 2) the richter scale would register the colossial letdown. Happy Thanksgiving y'all!
  7. Happy Thanksgiving to you, my Aussie friend. Hmmmmm....I don't know. Maybe we are in agreeance, and I couldn't find much material to mock / taunt you with? Nope. I'm stalkerish like that. you kidding? We're practically BFF's! Our international friendship gives the U.N. hope that world peace is possible! nah. Except when I say it does. And probably not even then....probably I'm just being a bit of a bastard *cheesy lounge-singer voice warbles out: "We've only just begun" There, I multiquoted the hell out of that post to make up for my prior lack......also to put my thumb in SNT and Susan's eye as the multiquote king!
  8. Then in theory, you should be ok with eating something like free-range chicken, or the "kosher" meats!
  9. Dude, that sucks hard. What a chickensh*t!! Don't you know she waited 'till her clock said 2:29:30 before she made that call? LOL
  10. This is the toughest part, snorkel. Try to resist snacking and other bad habits. It will get better.
  11. It's my understanding that the weightloss is more important than the waistline for the purposes of the preop diet. Could you be retaining fluids? Absolutely. A large intake of sodium could contribute towards that. I think as long you are following your doc's directions (sweet drinks?? You mean artificially sweetened, right?) and are losing weight ( - 10 lbs...great job) you'll be fine! Good luck!
  12. I'm just gonna play devil's advocate here (because I do sympathize....it seems like an easy enough thing to be honest with your patrons). If a difference of 6, or 12, or even 20 grams of fat for a meal is a "deal breaker" for a person, then they probably shouldn't be eating at Applebees anyway.
  13. Fairly common sleep disorder. I see it at least once a week. If Kat's soap trick stops RLS then "Big Pharma" is gonna be pissed! You're joking, right? Move your clock up. Problem solved. Well this is awkward....I thought you were. I'm afraid we can't be friends. You understand. This is actually very profound. Label it "sound bandster theory 101" Kat, here in my very rual heavily wooded part of Texas, there are a lot of old, deep dry wells. A body would fit easily in there. Just saying. *gulp* Jack, you as nervous as I am? Sedona? I love that name! Token? I smell sexism..... Here's the inside joke. Nobody really wants to see such a picture. Does anybody remember the old "Guiness Book of World Records" where the two fat twins were always pictured riding those teeny, tiny bikes (if not, google image it)? That's what I look like, minus the bike. You might want to reread the label. I think those are suppositories.
  14. Yes, well, living vicariously through celebrities offers a sort of "glamourous life" by proxy. Escapism is healthy to a point as it offers a good opportunity to de-stress. Prescription: Live the "Britney Spears" experience. Load up on psychotropic medicines and Red Bull, shave your head, and forgo underwear of any kind. Repeat as needed.
  15. Sorry Ryansgirl. I've never had anything like what you're describing!
  16. LOL....bunch o' smart asses! I open up to y'all and I get mercilessly mocked...."mother" is going to hear about this!
  17. Yes, well, this is awkward.....but you've both been so forthcoming that I will share some deep dark secrets: I occasionally like to attach clothespins to my body whildst sporting a sailor suit. I find it soothing to yell at an antique Barbie doll that I've named "mother". I sometimes loiter at the produce section of my local WalMart and giggle when the elderly ladies pick up a cucumber. My oral fixation is so pronounced that I frequently must wear a "spit cup" affixed under my chin with a velcro strap. But other than those things, I think I'm pretty well adjusted.
  18. If I need to "dumb down" the highly clinical language for your boss, I will.
  19. Interesting. As I've seen your photo album, I can attest that you are no longer fat. That you see yourself as such suggests issues of body dysmorphia. Prescription: Smash all mirrors in your house whildst screaming like a banshee. Then wear a bikini to work....If your boss objects tell him / her that your internet psychiatrist said they could "suck it". I will fax you a note to that effect if needed.
  20. Hmmmmm, yes. The effects of chili upon dreams are well documented. Clearly the classic anxiety dream has been influenced by your choice of late night nutrition. Also, I believe you are crazy. Prescription: Only eat dream-friendly "wolf"-brand chili before bed. All of the taste, 1/2 of the nightmares of other chilis.
  21. Because it's late, and I'm bored, and I can't access chat, I'm starting a new thread (May it be as prolific as the 6300+ post PJTP): Virtual Psychiatry Come on in, recline on the couch and tell me all about it. Phobias, dream analysis, electroshock therapy, I'll do it all, except housecalls. Advice not meant to be taken seriously. Do not bring any serious or emotionally painful problems in here, as I'll probably end up mocking them. Sure, my advice sucks, but ya gets what ya pays for.
  22. I agree with she. You look great. Don't let him get in your head like that!
  23. That is an awesome tradition. My family has a looooooong tradition of ordering pizza on Christmas eve. I know, it's weird...
  24. I'm afraid that I would have to support them in that petition, Donna. I mean, we're homies and all, but vegitarian Thanksgiving?!? You're from Texas for goodness' sake!!!
  25. I think if the pain is that bad you need to go see a doctor.....either your surgeon, or to the ER.
