  1. I'd wonder if the fertility drugs contributed in any way. Shhhhh....don't want to put any "lawsuit fodder" out there.
  2. plain replied to pattygreen's topic in Rants & Raves
    Uh...sorry, I guess....
  3. Howdy tap! How goes it?
  4. Sorry Pat, I've experienced nothing like that. Good that you have a follow up soon, though. Be persistant if you're still having this sensation when your appt. comes up. Good luck!
  5. Hi sanders, welcome to lapbandtalk. If you want to meet people specifically in the palm desert area, you might want to check the "local support" forum on the home page. You can narrow your search by geographical location. Good luck!!
  6. Hi Aunt B, welcome to lapbandtalk. It sounds like you are off to a great start.....keep up the good work!!
  7. Hi Pualani, welcome to lapbandtalk. I think you did fine for your first post, lol. Now start snooping around, reading info, and chatting folks up!!
  8. Hi angelic, welcome to lapbandtalk. You might have better luck if you post this in the "local support" section on the home page. You might also try the "doctors and hospitals" forum. Good luck!
  9. Hey, I'll check it out, Steve.
  10. Wow, that sounds like a cool job!! Hahaha....that's funny!! Well that's the truth....I'm in fact being paid by your boss to report your online conversations. Howdy stranger! Man, that's SOME karma ya got going on there, tap. Actually it's been fantastic weather in this area lately! Quite chilly for May in the early mornings, warming nicely in the afternoons......beautiful! Should've showed your boobs. That always works for me.
  11. Just checking in. I'll be happy to debate if anybody wants to look @ facts (as opposed to general statements about how Fox news is slowly rewriting history in this country).
  12. Awesome views, Fanny. BG - (doing a crossword puzzle)- "What's a 4 letter word for woman that ends in u-n-t?" BG's Hubby - "Aunt" BG - "Hand me that eraser, please"
  13. Hey smart, welcome to lapbandtalk. That's pretty cool that you're vlogging your progress on youTube. I'm gonna check it out. Good luck!
  14. Hi there, onemore. Welcome to lapbandtalk. I don't know much about the various insurance requirements, except that they all are kinda different, and they are all kinda the same....make sense? lol. Anyway, good luck with your journey!
  15. I guess I don't see what you mean. How could she have given a truthful answer in a politically correct way? You're saying that if she had wanted to win the crown, she would have to 1) lie about how she felt or 2) refuse to answer the question? The media started in on her WAY before that. Remember the media mocking a pregnant teen ager? Classy. I could give you some sound advice about how to answer the "gay marriage" question, if you decide to run!!
  16. I think she was trying to show the kind of stuff that passes for "debate" when we don't deal in facts.....when we say stuff like "There's PLENTY of information out there"....when we accuse the opposite postion of having their head in the sand or of being purposely obtuse....stuff like that. Do I believe Obama is a natural - born citizen? Yes. Do I believe Bush "stole" his election? No. In the age of Bush = Satan, if anybody had any hint of illegality, every single news organization in the world would be blasting it 24/7. I get that you think it's a conspiracy thing, but honestly....do you think a secret that big could be buried?
  17. I suspect that's why they added the swimming leg of the race.
  18. Look, I don't wanna be the one that "outs" you on here, but just the other day you were PM'ing me about how to start a new religious cult. Hey, we're friends, but I'm not going to castrate and then poison myself for you, ok?
  19. Hey Jill, have you discussed these previous surgeries with your doc? If not, be sure and bring it up. The more information your doc has, the better he'll be able to plan. You certainly don't want to present him with a "surprise" on surgery day!!
  20. Ebony, you are a tremendous role model for all women on this board.
  21. Beth, I'm ashamed of your defeatist attitude!
  22. Eh, every industry everywhere has its share of assholios in management. I had a truly bad manager for a number of years. He wasn't snarky or malicious....he was just inept. He'd tack on rambling nonsense to inter-departmental email that his boss would send us, call me when I was sleeping to ask about unimportant reports, forget to order supplies, etc. He didn't last too long (and I suspect the same will happen to your Golden Child, Beth). After awhile it becomes painfully clear who can and who cannot do their work. Ebony, I was (and still am, really) the Golden Child of my department. As such, I've seen management pull a lot of childish, underhand "tricks" on co-workers they wanted to get rid of. I'm sorry to tell you that my gut is telling me that your boss has it in for you and is stocking up on her ammo (I hope I'm wrong, tho). My advice (and it's not very practical) is, even if HR and your boss ambushes you again, remain professional and courteous. No need to burn bridges.....and it is possible that sometime in the future they'll lose the douchebag and you can come work for them again.
  23. I don't want to speak in front of audiences.....I just want to tutor Prejean. That's funny that you're equating being "politically correct" with lying. Hmmmm.....that's actually not so far-fetched, if you think about it. If that were true, then it's a win-win for everybody: Prejean gets 15 mins of fame, Trump gets "controversy" and therefore ratings, and gay marriage gets thrust into the spotlight. Win-win from that perspective. What's the connection between the two? Uh-huh......it was Bristol that put herself in the spotlight. Riiiiight. Well....yeah. I'd want that too, if I could get it written into my contract. Damn hospital won't go for it, tho. But you mean to tell me that you're totally ok with government getting into private sectors (many banks continue to claim that the treasury dept. forced them to take TARP money) and then making the business decisions of said sectors? It would have been way better to let those businesses fail. And yes, I blame Bush for a lot of that TARP bullshite. Dude panicked. LOLZ. That's nuts.
  24. I don't think I've "lambasted" you. But to answer your question, I found an economist on the extremely liberal MSNBC that wasn't very optimistic on the economy. Remember the "Most credible economists agree Obama's plan is good" thing? It was actually the 2nd thing that Google pulled up. The first was someting in a conservative paper, so I didn't even bother posting that one for ya.
