I sure do not get how to post in some of these and did respond to a thread.... but here is my post... got a cancellation date so now I will be a JULY bandster.... how cool is that... two weeks.... no time to worry.. just delete fat from my diet for 2 weeks... even went out today and bought all my supplies before I knew about cancellation.. Yea!

I got a cancellation date so I am now getting banded two weeks from today... Yikes... Very excited so now I will be a July bandster.... don't worry... I will still log onto your thread and see how you all are doing... now I am REALLY excited.

me too... A bit different here in Canada but Aug. 6th is my date and I am very excited... have to do a 2 week pre op diet and I live alone so need to get shopping and get in all the products I might think I need....Have a contact here in my City of Chilliwack that has had surgery and so feeling very lucky and supported... Knee surgery in two weeks and then lap band and hope I can avoid knee replacement.. Plus want to look sexy again...

I have his tape .. yikes.. not a DVD.. so may use it but I have found a fat friendly gym in my city that does a "sit fit" and modified water aerobics. so am quite comforable going there.. Everyone is so supportive whenyou injure yourself or just cannot do what is going on but Istill have not told them about lap band surgery.. hmm..

Yes, you have to have the tests done and then visit Dr. Hornstein. I called Linda 10 days after tests and she made my date with Dr. Hornstein, and then second day after visit I called her again and got my date.. I also got put on cancellation list as I do not work and am ready.. Now! except he wants the 2 week pre op diet. hmmmm.

hi... August 6 for me... planned to go to parties for 08-08-08 but who cares!! summer holidays interferred so it is Aug 8 self pay.... here in Canada... do not really know how to add to thread... I just click and reply.. got some support here in Chiliwack B.C. am 60 years old and very excited....

I have a new house and ceramic floor tiles, so my dog hair would not show and I insist people leave their shoes on.... I like that I have no dust or dog hair... cause I can mop and dry mop.... and so please leave them on and them you will not bother about the broken glass or other objects on that darn hard floor...

yes... I think now that i read stuff, that is the way to go.. congrats... please let me know how you do.... I am waiting for date.. should be july... ready to go and anxious to hear how new bandsters do...

thank you... will be operated on in July I think and the closer it gets the more questions I have... thanks for the details... we are self paying here in Canada so I go home that night.....my son will deliver me so I should be all right...

I h ave a girlfirend dropping me off and my son picking me up but I will be alone while I am there and my sone will head home an hour away so maybe my neighbour and one or two friends will drop in on me but I have stopped tellingpeople cause so many are not supportive.. I am sure I will be fine and as long as you ahve your food andjice in the fridge.... and a phone/.// what could go wrong.. think positive.

hi.. you live in North Van! I live in Chilliwack and am going to a Dr. in Delta... Dr. Woodhead.. I am so excited to be having it done locally... I lost this thread "60's" and could not find my way back to it so glad you sent me an email response.... I clicked andclicked and could not get back to the "60's" group..... I think we are special.. as are the plus 70's of course... but sure am looking forward to this.. Have been on every diet ever made and now with osteoarthritis. cannot do exercise so this is the only thing and I know it will work... I am so exicted for next friday,......

yes.... I do not have another diet left in me... My "thin" friends have lots of ideas.... and my fat friends... well I do not have one that , like me, has been on every diet known to mankind... so I know that my decision is right... If you have thought it through... You are where you are supposed to be... and God will be with you.. I am telling my "church" friends and they are the only ones that are - at least no negative.. and some are supportive.. so God Bless and be with you.. and I will pray for you.... Kate

hi! I am 60 too and want to do this.. I am in Canada and doing self pay..... just mailed my app. to my Dr. and waiting for set up appt.... please keep in touch as I am a bit concerned.... "60" right?.... but anyways... someone asked me if I was concerned about my face "falling".... what? I just want the tummy and bum to be gone so I can fly on an airplaine...!.... thin people just don't get it.... Kate...
