KristenLe got a reaction from MsShortyDee in It absolutely makes NO freaking sense to me... **MY RANT**
@@LipstickLady @@WLSResources/ClothingExch
I honestly don't know how you stick around and deal with this ****! I'm very thankful that you do though!!! I think the people who are the worst are those that tell the OP not to worry that they just ate a fat filled, carb loaded meal two days before surgery because they did too and after all "there surgery went fine" or "you can't just stop eating what you want because the Dr said to". Not that I want anything bad to happen to these people but just once I'd like to see the surgeon cancel their surgeries! The "cheaters" are the first to b***h and moan when something goes wrong or they aren't skinny when they wake up from surgery! I really love the post-op people who "test" their surgery because they think there sleeve/pouch isn't small enough or they expected to dump and didn't so something must be wrong with the surgery. WTF people - do you not know what your insides look like after surgery and that you could die from complications. Okay - I'm done with my rant. I had road rage earlier - my BP was 142/92 at the Drs and now I'm getting BP rage! LOL

KristenLe got a reaction from beezy8 in Always hungry.. failing.. feel like I'm stretching my stomach
This isn't about hunger. By having a pretzel and wingettes - you are not satisfying hunger - you are satisfying cravings. It's extremely dangerous as well! You could cause a leak and die from complications. Believe me - I know it's difficult but you need to get your head in the game. You had major surgery (think about what your stomach looks like) and it's important to give yourself time to heal. Getting over cravings and head hunger is critical to healing and success. Your loss so far is excellent so lower your expectations or you will be disappointed. You have staples holding your stomach together - stretching it can easily cause a leak - is it really worth that bite of pretzel or chicken wings. Remember why you had surgery - don't throw away this opportunity. I'm not being mean - I'm being real. This is a real problem and you need to get control over it. -

I forgot to mention that you should be taking a PPI. It may be stomach acid mimicking hunger. Drinking plenty of fluids will help too. Go for a walk - the endorphins will fight the hormones and make you feel better emotionally.

KristenLe got a reaction from Beausie Bunny in Feeling regretful
@@Tyani It's common to feel miserable in the first few weeks. Your hormones are all out of whack (probably the cause of breakouts on face). Find a different Protein Shake or drink - there's so many options- don't stay with one if it's causing issues. Stay hydrated - you will feel horrible if you don't. It could be dehydration causing some of your issues. Your weight loss is excellent- many gain weight the first week or do after surgery due to all of the fluids and swelling. You are right at the time of the 3rd week stall. Just keep getting Protein and fluids and you'll feel much better. Look at what Vitamins you are taking- Biotin can cause skin issues/breakouts. Take measurements and if the scale isn't moving - you're most likely losing inches. Stay strong!

Change things up a bit. Make sure you are getting enough Protein and fluids. Move some more. Stalls are common and you're probably losing inches. Just hang in there and stay off the scale for a while. -

@@hudjess Buying pants for $3 seems like a no brainer. I started to store my summer clothes with the same fears - what if... I went through my closets right before surgery and got rid of a ton of winter clothes that damn well better not ever fit again. I kept some that I can get away with wearing for a little while but most was given away. I haven't bought any new - other than a few jeans I scored at Salvation Army. Don't get alot - you may skip sizes.

KristenLe got a reaction from MSer07 in 3 weeks post op numbers if anyone is willing?
It's important not to compare weight loss. There are far too many variables. Our journeys are our own! Stay with the plan. As you are burning fat - your body is releasing stored hormones - making you emotional, depressed, etc. It's very common. Stay strong! -
KristenLe got a reaction from MSer07 in 3 weeks post op numbers if anyone is willing?
@delray310 It's normal not to feel full from liquids. Just stay with the plan.

KristenLe reacted to blizair09 in Regular Diet
Week 8 is the last week of food stages on my plan, so the short answer would be Week 9; however, there are several things you can't have until much later on my plan (steak at 6 months for example) and some things that you are to avoid forever (doughy things, dried fruits, Pasta, rice, etc.).
I personally am following low carb (even as I go through the food stages), so Week 9 and beyond won't look much different than Weeks 6-8 for me.
This is my plan, of course, and it doesn't take long browsing on here to see that everyone's plan is different. I'd reach out to your nutritionist and ask.
Good luck!

KristenLe got a reaction from ShelterDog64 in Fear of Failure
The 1st thing the therapist had me do is keep a food diary but not only what I was eating but my mood or feelings at the time. I also wrote a list (ongoing) of all the great things I want to do once I lose weight and keep revisit anytime I have a feeling of going off plan. I also kept a list of the answers to every time I said "Why bother...?". I said that often because even when I ate healthy - the weight barely came off and I'd give up.
