  1. I was sleeved 3/28 and today one of my incisions hurts way more than the others. I'm worried about it but it doesn't look any different than the other ones.. anyone experience this? is it something to be worried about? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  2. i have zero Protein right now, unless u count chicken broth. they said that it's to give my stomach time to heal. it's pretty brutal. I feel bad for @CRAIGMARTINEZ who has 2 weeks of this. I didn't get isopure, and wasn't advised to. however, I only have 1 more day. So the question is, does it get better on full liquids or will I still be hungry until real food is introduced? 3. I am 6 days post op. I am on Clear liquids until tuesday.. I have been getting severe hunger pangs and I'm wondering if those seem to go away once you get on the full liquids? obviously anyone would be hungry on clear liquids, no matter how big the stomach is .. please let me know! 9. I totally relate to the weight gain! so crazy that water weight and bloating is a real thing! good for you doing a mile per day! I have been taking it pretty easy, super tired. I couldn't do plain water, but I figured out that cold low calorie Gatorade mixed with regular water is my ticket to hydration! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  10. I stopped smoking 3 weeks ago, for surgery. I never felt like I was going to relapse during that time and felt somewhat confident. the moment I felt somewhat better after surgery I started wanting to smoke. I really feel like I might, even though I absolutely know I shouldn't. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  11. I also had my surgery on the 28th.. the gas and bloating is still bothering me. i weighed myself and I put back on all my 10 lbs of pre op diet when all I've had is clear liquids! ha! I know it will all work out. I am on a clear liquid diet till tues.. it sounds like some of you are already on the full liquid diet.. good luck! hope we can share our progress Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  16. Thank you - I like it. I do not plan on telling my nosey coworkers WHY I am having surgery. Don't feel like dealing with the know it alls that feel the need to give their "just diet and work out" advise that works for them to get their extra 5-10# off. One of my other coworkers recently was sleeved and lost over 100# between the surgery and doing his part by being in the gym first thing every morning working out. "If he would have just gone to the gym every day, he wouldn't have needed the surgery." I told one of them the other day to go carry 100# of weights as they run on the treadmill and let me know how "easy" it is for them. They just don't get it and I don't care to involve them in any part of my journey. I already had my gall bladder removed and had a hiatal hernia repair at the time of my initial lapband procedure (now going for revision to the sleeve). I have reflux issues, so I just read that I can blame that on fibroid tumors that will have to be surgically removed when the peanut gallery sticks their nose in. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App I had fibroid issues in the past and had laporoscopic (sp?) surgery about 10 years ago. I am also using that excuse for myself at work. the scars are higher for the sleeve than the fibroid but I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm more concerned about the excuse of being sore... still haven't quite figured out how to explain the rapid weight loss but they do know I've been on the liquid diet do hopefully it won't look too suspicious Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  17. I am having my surgery in 2 days and I just found out I'll have a drain. can anyone tell me your experience with that and why they do it? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  18. I quit last week... the first few days were a piece of cake compared to now. I've quit before and I remember waking up every morning basically in tears because I wanted to smoke . that was for 6 mos until ĺ eventually gave in. it's incredibly difficult and I keep thinking of how I'm gunna smoke for my birthday in 6 months and all these crazy thoughts. I dream of it every night. All I know is that every time I've quit and returned to use, I've wished I hadn't.. and that's what I really try to focus on.. but it's the hardest thing. it's as addictive as heroin, so I'd say we're doing a pretty good job!.. just for today! 19. I have heard several things about snacking.. for sleevers, is it a good or bad thing to snack? I've heard people stick with 3 meals per day but then I also have heard people regularly mention snacking being a vital part of their lives... What's a normal food regimen for everyone? 25. ok thank you. so just to clarify, when people say they have a tough time getting their Water in, they just mean the first few weeks/months? then after that, we are able to drink a lot of water at once? like gulp water down? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
