  2. Unless you've been at that weight for several weeks, it's not a plateau. Just your body trying to catch up with your weight loss and figure out what's going on. I can do 8 oz of soup no problem but thicker foods I eat too fast and it goes from hungry to hurting quickly. I would just stick to foods high in Protein that are still liquid. Split pea soup I had the other day had 14 gms in a can (Amy's low sodium) just be very careful about your choices. Maybe purée the cottage cheese? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. The Protein differences I was talking about, there's whey isolate, whey concentrate, and whey casein. Isolate is the one you want to be using. The others are thick consistency whereas isolate is Water consistency when mixed with water. I've had no problem at all getting my protein since day 1 post op. 4. I'm doing well by the way worked since Monday I'm 9 days post op everything went smoothly. Still having wavelike cramping pains come and go mostly when I eat. Dr. Kelly performed the surgery well and I had no issues with him or his team while I was in Mexico. His Facebook support group on the other hand he seems like a different person, accusatory and child like. But he did the surgery and it would appear he did it well. Clinica San Juan was nice, hotel lucerna was nice, they're very organized in their planning for your whole visit and the necessary steps. Jorge the driver is very nice, Gabby the office assistant was also nice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. One thing I will say though is the unflavored brand I have makes everything have a weird taste, and I don't like it. Does anyone know of any unflavored that doesn't actually change the flavor or is that impossible? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. And as far as the temperature goes, I just put on the hot Water from my sink which ends up being just very warm. No clumps or anything. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. What kind of no filler protein did you use? I have the unjury unflavored tub and a scoop and half of that looks like it would just make a paste in 4oz of water. I did finally get 40gm of protein down over the course of a day via a Premiere Protein shake and an Oikos zero vanilla yogurt (15gm protein per cup!). Thanks again to everyone for their suggestions, I plan on trying them all seeing that my protein requirements for the next three days almost doubles per my post op diet plan. You have to go to GNC or somewhere that sells like bodybuilder type supplements. It's just PURE protein isolate. I use the GNC brand but just ask someone. When it's pure it's not a thick consistency AT ALL. It's a bit thicker than water. It's so pure. I don't think people realize this is available. It's the only way I can see getting 60 gms. I could get 90 if I didn't want soup for lunch! Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. I'm exactly 7 days post op right now and had the same problem. Still having spasms and cramping but it's so much better when I use warm fluids. I haven't had a sweetness problem but I've been able to get 60+ oz Water and 60 gms Protein daily thanks to whey isolate (version that doesn't have fillers etc) so I mix 4 oz water (warm) with 1.5 scoops 30 gms and can get it down within an hour. 13. I've always gotten hiccups when I'm hungry, now I get them a lot more frequent and it lets me know I need to sip something. I think it's when my stomach is empty I suppose Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I've always gotten hiccups when I'm hungry, now I get them a lot more frequent and it lets me know I need to sip something. 14. I got done on the 24th. Feeling pretty good. Some stomach spasms and cramps but nothing too bad. My first few days were miserable throwing up all the time dry heaving. 19. So... It's all happening! I booked about 3 weeks ago, I'm going to TJ Mexico for Dr. Ramos Kelly. I'm excited but a little nervous. If anyone has any bits of advice or experience of surgery in Mexico, I'm sure I've already read them, but go ahead and share if you feel so inclined Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
