  1. There is absolutely no comparison between the two.
  2. I was going to recommend LapSF too. Dr. Cirangle is my surgeon and I really like him. Depending on where you are in the SF area, Dr. McKeen also does fills on patients not his own but he's in San Jose.
  3. While I understand that some people are sensitive about the word retarded, I don't that word has been regularly used to describe people with intellectual challenges for at least two decades so I also understand that to some people the word has little power.
  4. Everyone tells me it's common to stall when you go to solids and you'll start losing again. OTOH, my surgeon says stalls are almost always due to too many carbs and not enough exercise.
  5. Oh, maybe that's my problem? I keep waking up in the middle of the night to pee. Several times. I'm SO TIRED...
  6. The stationary bike was at the gym at work and you need a key card to get into it. But my Wii Fit finally arrived so Mr. Mac could rig that. He'd need to be careful though because he's got a Wii Mii in the Wii Fit Plaza so he might explode himself!
  7. My surgeon says Yes, no problem. Everyone wants you to wait until you get to goal and have been there a while though. I think that's true of all the surgeries.
  8. Well I weigh myself anyway even though I'd eaten breakfast and it turned out okay.
  9. I didn't sleep much either. Plus it's my official weigh in day and my mom called in the middle of my morning routine and not only did I forget to take my medicines but I also forgot to weigh myself!
  10. Ahem, for a short person, a size 0 (US) is not particularly unhealthy.
  11. Because I've been dieting to get ready for surgery, I am now BELOW 200 lb. This, naturally, has given me pause because now I don't feel so enormously fat. But I was at the hairdresser today, that place with all the mirrors, and guess what? I AM ENORMOUS by pretty much any standard you want to use. Plus, to get to my ideal weight from my starting weight means I have to lose 100 POUNDS. Think about that... 100 pounds of excess weight. 100 pounds! That is a tremendous amount of weight for a person to be carrying around with them. It's a mind-boggling amount of weight really. It's only in the WLS world where a person with 100 lb. of excess weight is called an Lightweight and people are convinced they aren't fat enough for WLS. In the real world, such a person is a big tub of lard that people are disgusted by, discriminate against, and who is damaging their body every day by carrying around that much weight.
  12. I loved that movie. And, yeah, I decided to take a break from pink and go for blue. On purpose.
  13. It's supposedly highlights but the entire top of my head is very very very blue. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a decent picture of it. The last one dh took, you could barely tell and the first set were noisy and the blue was too bright. I'll try again tomorrow in more natural light.
  14. I HAVE BLUE HAIR!!
  15. I rode the stationary bike at work yesterday. And I didn't die!!
  16. Me too. It's interesting because I'm somewhat impressed that McCain didn't go with a old white dude, but many of her positions have pushed me over to the "will never vote for this ticket" camp.
  17. Well if they don't look fake, then it's fine. But on some women they look fake. The pink is very obviously fake so that's why it works for me.
  18. But they have to notice just the right amount. It's weird. If they make too much of a fuss, I get embarrassed. That also leads to them saying stupid stuff that I don't know how to respond to. Like "you're going to rock that bikini". I'm a 50+ year old woman with a huge surgery scar down my chest. Even if I don't have hanging skin, I'm never going to "rock" a bikini. Though the older I get the more I learn to just smile and say "thank you" no matter how strange or outrageous the comment is.

Not with that avatar! I didn't realize you were talking about the B&A *thread*. I don't go there any more. But I've noticed coming to home page and seeing all pix of someone's dog and thinking "huh?"
  20. But it will grow back. That's my hair philosophy... it's just hair -- it grows back. Hey, maybe I can do the blue at the 2 month mark and then at the 3 month mark when it starts to fall out, that will help me transition back to pink! Now why didn't I think of that?!

So I'm confused... are you agreeing with me or not?
  22. I actually stopped doing it because after a while the pink highlights made my hair look red or even orange. So I grew them out. But I'm ready to do it again.

I think the big problem is that when someone posts 20 pictures of their kids, it takes over the front page. Actually, I think that's a problem if they post 20 befores and after. Maybe it's just the front page that has to change -- 1 pic per account would give you a greater variety.
  24. Really? It's not totally pink. I just have pink highlights. I think they go good with my grey -- which was coming in strong at the temples but not so strong everywhere else. The pink makes it look streaky everywhere but without the fake blonde streaks that scream "I'm trying to hide my gray". Um, can you tell I've thought about this way too much?
