I think you have to examine all the reasons you went down that road in the first place....... what was going on within yourself and at home that made you feel like you needed this other thing?
also, secondly - you have to decide what *your own* values are, what kind of a woman you want to be and what you want your own future to look like.
my husband and I recovered from a bout of infidelity oh, about 12 years ago? because we both addressed the reasons within him and within our marriage why he strayed - set new boundaries on interactions with those of the opposite gender and decided what we *really* wanted out of life was to be together, to raise our children together and to be together for our grandchildren to come. That was how we saw our lives and values and we have never regretted doing the hard work to fix things. If you two decide that is what you want, you can do the same.

have you had a medical work up lately? I'd be concerned about things like diabetes if I was drinking a lot and still thirsty.

I was referencing her Yoga for back pain video, but I have several others and they are all good. Yoga for the rest of us is also nice. I bought mine used off Amazon after watching the PBS specials. what I like is that there is nothing crazy - nothing intimidating. She always has three people doing the stretches, one easy or modified, one regular and one advanced. so you always feel like you can fit in somewhere with what she is doing, and she is so gentle in her speaking and guiding.

. I understand completely. When you are petite your weight can seem "low" to some but your BMI can actually be high. I am around 5'2" so I was 238 at surgery. Feels real good to be off medications. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

well, I just don't crave some of the junk I wanted before. fried food doesn't feel real good in my stomach, even if I take the coating off - so that is a no go, and I find I really want the lean Protein and veg.
before I would eat huge quantities of foods. now if I do have something (say it's someones birthday and I take a slice of cake) I might have a bite or two and not even finish the piece. before I'd have had a piece and if asked to take some home I would have said yes please. it's a whole different world.
for me, I used to be diabetic, and I think the diabetes drives a desire for simple carbs - and with that gone and normal blood sugars I just don't feel the love for it anymore. it feels great to have normal blood sugar all the time.
as for chocolate, when I want the chocolate - I have a Protein shake I like a really lot and a triple chocolate Power Crunch Protein Bar. so, there are some things you find an alternative that meets with your nutritional goals. as a bonus my chronically too thin teenage daughter likes them, and will often share an extra large Protein Shake with me on the way to school/work so she is getting some extra nutrition, Protein and calories too. better than her picking up my old coca cola habit!

When the scale doesn't move. or moves the WRONG way I have to look at my activity, food, Protein, fluids and then tell myself, look you are NOT eating enough to gain FAT. it's Water or poop or something else going on that adds that wee bit of weight and it will sort it's self out.
so that makes me feel better. it's fat loss I am after.
and then I get on with my program and try not to fuss about it until the next weigh in.

all I can think at 2 weeks out is, I have gone through all of this for 15 pounds? it is depressing. I just keep on going and hope it changes. I know you are all saying it will - but it is hard to believe it.

Christinamo7 got a reaction from CJ Sunshine in Still stalled - and hungry. Where's the magic weight loss i was promised?
when you are a lower BMI, you will loose more slowly. I would be tracking intake and exercise for a few days and speak to your team to ask them what is a good calorie deficit for you. I do not know from your activities if you would be helped with more or less food. some of your hunger feelings say yes you may need more food, or perhaps smaller amounts more often? and some make me think maybe a PPI. so that is certainly something your medical team can help sort out.
that being said, a stall where you are is perfectly normal, and your body is busy with the weight loss process even when the scale doesn't move. the times I can visibly see a difference in the mirror are during stalls.

Thank you, I do understand - but it is so difficult. very challenging, and every little noise my family makes is driving me mad. :-) must be the hormones I've heard about.

I should add I am divorced too. My first marriage I did have the perfect little 17 year old body. and yet after 9 years he threw me away.
So, when I met my husband I was really afraid that even though he loved me, he would be disappointed with my body.
we may have 99 problems, but my body isn't one of them.
I understand how that divorce can mess with your head. I don't allow myself to think about my first husband very often because I don't want to ever go back to how he made me feel. and it was 20 years ago!

make sure you are not reading your own insecurities about your body into other people's behavior, but if they have been obvious or straightforward enough that you're sure this is the issue....
you need to meet different men.
no matter what my weight, no matter any of my particulars every time they put me at that **** front desk men ask me out for dinner, to go home whatever. I think they find someone friendly and kind to be refreshing From the men I interact with I get the idea that is more important than a perfect body.
Lately everytime I go to the grocery store men approach me with shopping questions. and there isn't even beer in my cart?
bottom line, I meet really lovely men all over the place. I've got my hands full with the one I've got, but they're out there. make eye contact. smile. be kind. don't be in a hurry - get to know him well before revealing your body is even an issue so you are comfortable that this is not a problem.

it was found when I was trying to prepare for surgery with a high WBC. I had stabbing pains in my belly, some swelling in my belly. PET scans and cat scans showed "stranding" in the tissue that holds my small intestine in place. mostly belly pain, fatigue and diarrhea were the symptoms I was dealing with.
It was either an infection (ruled out) or cancer (probably ruled out) or most likely the sclerosing mesenteritis.
I finally got symptoms under control enough to get one normal WBC so they went ahead with my sleeve, but I will have a cat scan again in July as they will continue to watch me closer.
check out Peggy Cappy's yoga for the rest of us. she makes people feel more comfortable and always has three examples, one easy, one normal and one advanced so it is easy to follow along.

isn't it crazy how these things change? I am a petite woman, so I have to pull my seat almost all the way forward. and I used to look 8 months pregnant, so the belly rubbed for sure.
4 months post op? there is all kinds of crazy room between me and the steering wheel. makes me pretty happy!

I have 5, two are about 1 inch and the others are about 1/3 of an inch.
I seriously doubt there'll be much in the way of a visible scar, and unlike KF, I'm not even hairy there to hide them. :-D
