I cheated off and on during my pre surgical diet. I was supposed to be on all liquids likely because I'm on the higher end of bmi. I did get a Jr bacon chee a cpl times in my first week. My doc told me a week before my surgery I could have chicken because I told him I was starving all the time. I'd have a chicken breast and I had boiled eggs too. And the day before my all clear liquid diet aka 2 days before surgery I had chocolate mochi. Like, more of them than I'd like to admit. I still lost 35 lbs in 11 days. My surgery was on the 20th. No problems. No complications. And I'm healing perfectly. A pickle is a Veggie. No, it won't kill you or complicate anything. Have a pickle . I won't judge

So I'm sitting here on the couch watching the Saturday morning news (Living the dream, I know)...

Hard to believe what a difference a year can make... lost 121 lbs. so far! So glad I took "Before" pics and actually saved the clothes (3X top & 2X pants) to try on again at my 1 year Surgiversary! Here are the pics to show the difference, along with a couple of current pics in clothes that actually fit (tops M & jeans S). Having RNY (4/21/15) was one of the best decisions I've ever made! "Thank you" to all who've encouraged, supported and loved me every step of the way. Here's hoping everyone can be the Happiest and Healthiest version of themselves

I have 4 kids (4,8,10,12) and they were amazing. I have no one to help me either. My husband drives trains so is out of town alot. It was a breeze for me. My 4 yr old is all over the place and can be kinda rough. But as soon as I walked in the door after surgery I showed them my "boo boos" and my 4 yr old was always easy with me. Always wanted to see them and kiss them. Kids adapt so well. You will do great. Im 3 months post op today and my kids now have to keep up with me Good luck on this beautiful journey. I had my sleeve surgery on 3/25/15. Going on vacation and having a good time was one of the catalysts for deciding to have surgery.
Well I got back from a week's vacation and probably had the best vacation ever. I spent a week at Disney World with one day at Universal.
I sat in the middle seat on the airplane and rode ALL of the rides. No problem at all! I felt like a normal sized person. In fact, I was sad to see so many obese people in scooters. I was thinking how are they having a good time?
I did not make the best food choices and when I got back was pleased that I hadn't gained any weight. But I was also happy to get back to my "normal" food routine. However, I lost 9 pounds the week after. I think I must have been retaining Water in my ankles. I had two broken ankles two years ago from a car accident and sometimes have cankles now when I walk a lot. : (
Anyone on the fence about the surgery, DO IT!! Prior to losing the weight, I always had crappy vacations. Not anymore!
Total weight loss so far: 140

I am not in my 30s but I would hesitate to get a goal outfit, mostly because I have NO IDEA what my shape and size will be when I get to goal. I am more inclined to save my money and get something really fabulous that fits me perfectly when I get there.

Honestly the only thing I used that I packed was a hair tie and my cell phone. My time was spent sleeping, walking, or peeping. I brought Chapstick that helped a lot, I'm not sure about lip gloss.
