  1. I thought Isopure tasted like...well not good. Try protein bullet or Oh Yeah, both at GNC. Portein bullet is 42 grm protein in 3.1 oz. So far Fruit Punch has been the best IMHO.
  2. I'm fast counting down that BMI too Froggie, when I first had the surgery I was 68.7 and I'm down to like 62.5 now, 33 lbs gone and I can't wait for another 33 lbs to be gone!
  3. can't be eating to much as I have a large band and it's open fully and still only eating less than a cup per meal. I've been eating the same amount since a day or two after surgery. I eat three meals and one snack a day and only get nausea after dinner, not eating more then than any of my other meals which I'm not getting any sort of nausea from. I'll have them call in something else, I won't go to get my first fill until the 12th of November so I'd rather not wait till then.
  4. Ok so I was banded Oct.3 and it went off without any major hitches I had little to almost no nausea up until the last few days. Last night as well as tonight I've felt terrible about an hour after dinner. Not enough to be sick but that OMG i'm green feeling. I've tried taking the liquid regulan they gave me and that isn't helping much at all. I have taken regulan before the surgery to help with bloating after meals because of my diabeties so not sure if that's the reason it's not working as well or if I'm just being a big baby. Any suggestions, because I can't keep on feeling this way every night. BTW last night's dinner was egg tonight was roasted chicken.:w00t:
  5. Congrats!!!
  6. Glowlite I did...I felt like someone had beat me in the stomach but started to feel human again first part of this week (had the surgery Oct 3) I still have a few minor aches and pains but it's nothing major.
  7. The unjury can't be heated over 130 or it changes the texture...The Unjury chocolate didn't taste that bad except my system just can't handle that amount of dairy right now. I do ok with yogurts so I'll mix the unflavored with a bit and try that. I'm doing ok as far as eating, today I've had: 6oz of Protein drink little less than a cup of soup (beef) half an apple pulsed (I'm in need of fiber) two bottles of Dasani I'll probably have another couple bottles of Water and a scrambled egg tonight for dinner and that will be it. Yikes looking at it, looks like a lot!
  8. HelloPenny I could not have ever imagined eating this little and not be starving! *LOL* yesterday wasn't typical in that I had a tv dinner. I think my biggest problem now is I'm not eating enough calories. AND I have the devil of a time with protein drinks..just haven't found one that I'm thrilled with so it's a daily chore for me to drink them.
  9. wensweet if your intrested in yoga give this a try...if I can do it anyone can! [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001IXT90]Amazon.com: Yoga for the Rest of Us with Peggy Cappy: Peggy Cappy: Movies & TV[/ame]
  10. Today I had the hamburger pattie from a kid cusine tv dinner 5 pita chips 1 cup beef soup 1/4 of an apple I'll probably have a late snack of either SF Jello or SF popscile
  11. I had it within days...both the DH and I were surprised at how quickly they shipped and how professional they were.
  12. I bought two different types. Isopure liquid (20 oz at 40gms) and Unjury powder. Unjury has sample packs that you can order for 12.95 you get all the flavors and that included shipping for me.
  13. Linro a smashing pumpkin is anyone who is banded in Oct. Seems thta on this board monthly groups are very popular and they all have catchy names...August All-Stars etc.
  14. Karook lol I guess this is the wrong place to be asking you to go to Loyds and send me some onion rings isn't it?
  15. I'm doing much better, very little pain if any, heartburn is come and go but the nexium and pepcid ac help tons. My problem is I'm getting hungry...is this normal? I'm not OMG starving but I am feeling hunger pains now and again. Also I'm able to eat more, haven't allowed myself more than a cup and I know I'm still getting below 1200 easy but it has me worried since I don't go back for a fill until almost mid Nov.
  16. lol if we are weighing in on football teams then all I gotta say...through thick and thin is War Damn Eagle! We moved here from Auburn, Al about 6 years ago and I still don't think of this as home. Not a huge fan of SE TX I'm a Alamaba girl at heart I guess.
  17. Sorry you are a bit farther up the state than I am, I live in Orange and used Dr. Hahn who did the surgery in Beaumont.
  18. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f282/ctober-dyssey-2008-a-73717/ Here is a link to the other October thread. Dragonwillow I was an outpatient, went in at 6:30 in the morning and was home in bed by around 4:30 that afternoon. I felt fine until about 2:00 am when i woke up in a bit of pain (I found I couldn't wait 6 hours between pain liquids) but a bit of sitting up in a chair, pain meds and a heating pad brought the pain back down enough so I could go back to bed.
  19. I was banded Oct 3, today was my first check up (no fill) and I've lost 8 lbs since the surgery and 16 total. Welcome everyone, and congrats on being a Smashing Pumpkin!
  20. I stung a bit but didn't hurt at all, I had one 2 hours before surgery and then one after.
  21. Ok today is the first day I've really felt like doing anything and I have tons of posting to do to catch up. LOL lets not even talk about what my house looks like! First off I had my surgery at Beaumont Surgical Affliates in Beaumont, TX my Surgeon(s) where Dr. Stan Hahn and Dr. Hsu. Friday was the first day Dr. Hahn had done surgeries at BSA but everything still went very well. The staff was great, I arrived at 6:30 and they took blood, pressure, temp etc and changed me into a lovely gown and wrapped my legs and put on the inflation cuffs they use. I was started on IV antibiotics as well as fluids and given a anti-clotting shot in my stomach about 2 hours before surgery. I went into surgery about 9:30-9:45 and I awoke about 1:00 to several of the nurses checking me. I took a bit longer than the norm because they had to work around old scar tissue from a gallbladder surgery years ago. I received a large band (I'm using Lap-Band) and have seven incissions. Two things surprised me when I woke up, one I didn't realize heartburn could be THAT bad (and I've had some killer HB in the past) and two I didn't know I was going to get a cath, that so didn't thrill me. I was given something right away for the hearburn pain and fussed over for another 30 min or so then since I was wide awake and not feeling to bad they asked if I wanted to go to the other room and sit in a big comfy chair. I drank fluids as well as received them IV. After another hour or so Dr. Hahn came in and went over what my at home instructions where and I got up and walked around and changed, removed the cath and came home. I was given three RX's all liquid, I haven't needed the regulan yet as my stomach has been fine.
  22. Glad your feeling better, I have just started to be a bit hungry. I'm a bit weak because up until today I really couldn't eat..but DH bought me some Weight Watchers Smooth & Creamy White Chocolate Cheesecake and I almost ate the entire thing (prob 1/2 cup) I'll try some broth in an hour or so, and I'll try to start my Isopure today.
  23. I've had the strangest hiccups, I'll only have one or two then nothing else...and boy do they hurt! I've found that the heating pad did wonders, I put it on my chest and fell asleep, when I woke up I felt much better. I still get tired this is my second surgery in a month, had a biopsy via my neck little less than 4 weeks ago so my body is looking forward to a rest.
  24. I tried the heating pad this afternoon and it worked well...lol until I had a hot flash and got to hot. Feeling much better this afternoon...might even get froggy and eat some Jello. I'm trying my best to get in 46 oz of Water but dang, can only have 1 oz every five min. I'm down to pain meds twice a day and not every 4 hours like prescribed, I have one more day on the antibiotics and haven't needed the regulan at all as my stomach has been fine. How many days are we to use the breathing thing? Does anyone remember? where is everyone else that got banded Friday? I know LS and I aren't the only ones.
  25. Well most of the bloating is gone but I still have some major gas pain. I'm walking and stretching so keeping my fingers crossed that it passes soon.
