  1. WOW Kellie!!! Cosmo is MY FAVE magizine!!! I can't wait to see it!!! You deserve this for all of your hard work!
  2. Of course I can't keep my big mouth shut on this one!!! Tricia is one of the most CARING people on this board... Honestly, for some of you to think she was trying to be ugly is ridiculous. I get really frustrated with some of the posts also where people have no clue what is going on! When I signed up from this board... I had the same horrible posts... I was preparing for surgery and had never heard the term PB??? Well, I asked, talked and found out about it... My Dr. and your Dr.'s probably don't have the time to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know... but MY Dr. suggest a support group (LBT) and this is where I learned almost everything. Now, when there are more specific questions, I do call the Dr., I don't just listen to an experienced bandster if I am REALLY scared. Sorry to get off topic, but I thought this was a great thread, and I AGREE With Tricia 100%~
  3. Heather's Tip~ If I feel like munching... I get me a iced cold glass of tea, and sip it... Therefore I get to put something in my mouth. By the way, the tea is DEFINITELY sugar free!!!
  4. OK, just realized that I have lost 89 pounds since May 4, 05 when I popped out my baby!!! That is CRAZY!!! I will definitely be at minus 100 for her BDAY!
  5. I am just so overwhelmed with all of the Awesome folks here!!! I LOVED reading each and everyone of your stories!!! Everyone seems to be doing just great with their weight loss. Sorry I have been absent... Work has been CRAZY! I am hoping to spend all afternoon to go thru my 20 pages of NEW POSTS!!! I try and keep up everyday, but there are a lot! Monday I am going to the RODEO and Wednesday too!!! I am going to be drained next week, but at least I will look good I have on a Size XL t-shirt today instead of a 3X!!! That is just way too cool for me. I am about to leave and go get a pedicure and my nails done, so... I will be back this afternoon. Keep up the great work! AND P'NUT!!!! THANKS so much for keeping all of this stuff in order!!! This Club would be done the pisser already if I had to keep up this week!
  6. You sound like my DH!
  7. I wouldn't do any of the stuff you listed... send them to work with your hubby!
  8. P'Nut and Dawg~ I just realized that you both started at 307??? and have both lost 42lbs? I am ready that correctly?
  9. If I could turn back time, I would have only told my hubby. Some people just don't get it... Oh, my favorite is ... "That is the easy way out" What is easy about not getting to eat whatever you want whenever you want?
  10. This was my mom's hang up! And she should understand since she WAS overweight forever also. She did it on her own, so I should have been able to... lalalalala I think that is how my PCP feels, but he doesn't dare say a word. He is a BEAN POLE and obviously has never been fat or even chubby!
  11. Congrats Little One!!!!
  12. My husband is 6'-4" and averages 315lbs. He is ALL muscle except for a little belly. Well, it is a big belly, but he is a SOLID guy. He didn't want me to have the band at first, because he thought I would have this surgery and fail like I failed all of my diets before. (he wasn't being rude, just realistic) In the end, he told me that it was my choice and he would support me any way he could... Now with me 50 pounds lighter... I have more energy and I love to cook treats for him... he keeps saying that I am trying to fatten him up so I will look even smaller than him. It is the current running joke in the house. He is SO excited about my weight loss and he just loves every minute of it. He has always told me I am sexy and all that stuff... (even at 365lbs) but now I know it. He helps me reach my goals and treats me when I get there. Right now, we are planning a night on the town when the scale says 275... only 4 pounds away!!! It gives me something to work for. I will pretty soon be smaller than I was when we started dating and he said he is going to feel like he is having an affair since I am changing so much!
  13. Well, this should be the club for people that met their spouses or S/O online!!! But then I couldn't be a member I am 24 years old, I have been morbidly obese for as long as I can possibly remember. (Only 1 pound away from obese) I have been married for 2 1/2 years and we have a beautiful 10 month old baby girl. I am ready to be a normal weight and I can clearly see that in my future now because of the band. I know it sounds impossible, but as of today I am not struggling. I have NO problem eating the right stuff and I am working out and getting a lot of exercise. No demons this week!!! (highest/surgery/current)total loss 365/329/279/ (-86)
  14. Hey P'Nut... Are we going to post our total weight loss OR total loss since surgery? For EX. 365 was my highest... but I was 329 on surgery day??? Get what I am saying? Just let me know???
  15. You guys are making me feel so good today with all of your nice comments!!! THANK YOU!
  16. Let us know how it turns out!!! Good Luck to you!
  17. 7 or 8???? you lucky hooker:eek:
  18. On Thursday I went to the Dr.'s office for another fill. I knew I needed some more sweet juice, so I FINALLY went in. When I got there, the Dr.'s assistant checked to be sure I still had 2.7cc's in there... (she said there was) Dr. Spivak checked himself and said that there wasn't! So... He thought it might be leaking or whatever happens when the saline goes away  So, he got paged and had to leave the room... well this PA (physician's assistant) was told to get the omnipaque (sp?) and to fill me back up to 2.7cc's. Well she did that and I couldn't even get the barium down.... so she backed it off to 2.2cc, I swallowed more barium, and it went straight thru. So, they added back up to 2.5cc's, too tight... Back and forth, back and forth we went... Which, by the way, I had no problem with since I wanted to get the right amount of fill. SO, they put 2.5cc's in me and told me to go drink my bottle of Water and see how it went down... I go out into the waiting area, and I can feel that it isn't going down at all. I go back in to the room with the flouro (sp?) machine and this time (THANK GOODNESS) Dr. Spivak does the adjusting and puts me at 2.2cc's!!! That is my SWEET SPOT for now. That poor little PA was so overwhelmed, I could tell, but I surely wasn't going to leave without the proper restriction. It was like I was getting stressed so my band would tighten... then I would calm down and it would all flow thru... Those people probably thought I was NUTS!!! So, here I am at 2.2cc's and VERY happy with it...:clap2:
  19. My hubby and I battled MSRA a few years ago... I haven't had any problems whatsoever with my band and infections to date. I healed fine and my wounds are great. Who knows what it looks like underneath the skin  I actually went to the Dr. for a boil yesterday... (not MSRA this time thank GOD) He put me on antibiotics and hopefully all will be well.
  20. Photonut~ I think overall weight loss is a great idea! mary~ I am eating Protein, then veggies, and no crap!! I walk 2.5 miles a day usually and do a cardio workout 5 times a week for 50-60 minutes
  21. Thanks for all of the awesome compliments guys!!! I promise I will take pictures this weekend... if not sooner!
  22. :faint: I am doing the biggest freakin happy dance of all time!!! I am SO proud of myself and can not believe that I am here!!! Yesterday I had to go to my PCP for a small issue and all of the nurses there were complimenting me and saying how great I looked and I just couldn't believe it!!! This is one of the happiest days of my life!!!:clap2:
  23. OK guys... sorry that I have been absent... PhotoNut has graciously volunteered to start up a new thread tomorrow morning (as of last time I talked to her) so you all look for it... We will post the link here to the new thread when it starts!!
