  1. YAY!!!! FunnyDuddies!!!! That is SO awesome!!! Check out the weight just dropping off of you!!! You are kicking butt!
  2. Thanks guys! Iziksmom~ You and my daughter have the same birthday! She will be one tomorrow!
  3. If my 300+ pound hubby can rest his weight on me, I doubt you will have a problem with your 160 lb DH :grouphug: Like everyone else said... do what is comfortable. I also kept my hand over my port area the first couple of weeks (Like I could hold it in place if it decided to move?) Just stop if your body is telling you to. HAVE FUN!!! :huggie:
  4. HeatherGurl - H 365/ S 329/ J 279/ G 190/ C 256.4 (-108.6 lbs total, -5.6 lbs this week) :flame: :whoo:May I have your attention please? (stolen from Tricia) :grouphug: My big old butt is wearing a size 16 today and I can freaking breathe!!! I am the HAPPIEST woman in the world today!!!! From a size 26/28 to a 16 in 6 months? Now that is success!!! Thank you all so much for your support in this club!! This is my favorite thread! :whoo: :whoo:
  5. Way to go!!! That isn't silly at all!!! I did the same thing. After I got under 300, I set a goal of 275, and now my mini goal is 250! Great job!!!
  6. Clementine~ It sounds to me like you are going through all of the normal things us bandsters go through. Like you said... when have you lost that amount of weight before and kept it off for 6 months? Once you get the sweet spot things should get easier... well for me it did. After my last fil, is when I really noticed things changing. I am eating all the right things, but I do allow myself something if I really want it. If I try to eat something when I am not physically hungry, I get sick. That is the sweet spot for me. You are losing well.
  7. My mom has a Nursery (plants) and she was just watering everything like she does everday.... We probably see/kill over 50 snakes a summer here in South Texas. This is prime time for snakes to be out.
  8. :faint: So yesterday was supposed to be a relaxing kind of day. My DH was going to BBQ for my DD's bday next weekend. DH and dad were BBQ'ing when they heard my mom scream... A Copperhead bit my mom!!! She is OK, they had to put her in the hospital. She is still there... but it was a crazy day yesterday. I thought people died from Snake bites. My mom was VERY lucky! Doing good here on the weightloss... Can't believe that I am SO very close to my mini goal of 250! I was excited when I got to 275... and look at me now
  9. Give your band a rest. Go on liquids (no cokes) Hopefully you stopped the coke when you started feeling bad? Please call your Dr.! I really hope you start to feel better!
  10. My 2 cents.... I am SURE someone will correct me here.... or give me grief... but My question to the thread starter is... What does YOUR Dr. have to say? We can all come the agreement that different Dr.'s tell you different things. Just wondering what YOUR Dr. told you?? Surely you have spoken with your Dr. about your concerns.. AMEN P'NUT!!!
  11. I drive a black '02 Chevy Tahoe, fully loaded (my dream truck) and hubby drives a '04 Dodge truck, 4WD, Diesel... all that junk. Most expensive thing we have! I think that dumb truck in the long run will cost us more than our house!
  12. You ROCK!!!! You are only 39 pounds to goal!!! Keep up the great work, I am so proud of you!!!
  13. South Texas 2.77 a gallon now.

  17. I AM IN!!! Telly Melly... you are my kind of girl!!! I am LOVING all of your posts!!! YAY!!! Come Monday morning I will be 258!!!! In the 250's??? WOW!!!
  18. Way to go dawg!!! whoop whoop!!! That rocks!!! :clap2:
  19. I couldn't resist girls... I just so happened to have a pic of someone in a diaper :brick:
  20. C'mon girl!!! You are looking SO hot, don't ruin it. Here is a kick in the butt from one hard worker to another!!! I like putting the Captain Crunch on the legs idea!!! Great one girls!
  21. I sometimes forget to eat... That is how often I actually get hungry! I usually have a protein shake for breakfast, sometimes lunch too. Just because that is easiest for me where I work. When my stomach growls though, I eat. I am not physically as hungry as before. And I stay full for 5-6 hours normally, sometimes more.
  22. QUESTIONS: 1. Is there anyone in my age group that has had the procedure done? What was your experience like? Would you recommend it to someone your age or would you have rather waited until you were older? I would like to think that I am in your age group :grouphug: I am 24. This is the best decision in my life. I am about 6 months out and could not be happier. The experience has been great for me. My life is on track and I am loving it!!! If I could have, I would have had this done as soon as I could put food in my mouth. I have always been overweight. 2. This might sound a little stupid but, what happens to the excess skin? Does it “shrink” with the weight loss or do you have to have a cosmetic procedure to remove it? Is it a hit or miss situation and just have to wait till the end to find out? Ditto on what Alex said. Right now I have some flabbiness, not really saggy though. I am thinking with the proper exercises and time... it won't be too bad. 3. Other then worrying about the diet restrictions / modifications, did anyone have any other psychological effects? (ie - Why did I do this to myself?, depression, etc) No bad effects on me here. Only great. It sucks not to pig out on stuff like the good old days... but it is well worth it. I have found other things to do with my time. (shopping, tanning, getting my nails done.) 4. I am a sucker for spicy food, anything from chili peppers to hot sauce. I do not get gassy from it either (a huge bonus). As soon as I stop eating spicy food then I get a craving for sweets. Are you able to return to eating this food after the healings complete? I haven't had any problems with spicy foods. And with the sweets, I can still eat them but not the mass amounts that I used to. Bread and Pasta will not go down, but in my case... that is GREAT. That is why I got so big in the first place. Anything else that you feel would be useful knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Check out the Before and After pictures thread. It is very inspirational. Also, feel free to PM or email me.
