Did I make the right choice?
Hi David~ I understand what you are going thru. Before I had my sweet fill... I could eat a whole plate of Hamburger Helper... or a big juicy hamburger. What exactly are you eating? If you want to lose weight during this period, stay away from sugar and bad carbs... Please tell me you are still on mushies! I hope you haven't tried a steak yet. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me, we have the same Dr.

What's The Real Deal On Portions?
My Dr. also wants us to avoid bad carbs... we should all be doing that and I don't care what you think... but sugars and refined flour is why we are all so darn big in the first place. Keep on eating it, and it will continue to make you big That being said. When I sit down to eat a meal, I start with my protein, then I eat some veggies and if I have room I "MIGHT" have a bite of potatoes, but I would rather save the small amount of room that I have for more yummy stuff that works well with my band. (fish) yummy! I typically eat 1/2 cup of food at a meal. Sometimes more... but usually not. I do not eat 3 meals a day... I eat when my stomach is growling and I am actually hungry. If I try to eat when I am not physically hungry, the food WILL NOT go down for me. Hope this helps you some.

Funny~ Could you explain what the difference is between a tummy tuck and the apron removal? Does a tummy tuck just make you more bikini ready? I am thinking that what you will have done is what I Will want. I am SO happy for you!! Can't wait to see your after pics. You rock girl!

Today is my 6 month anniversary! Never in a million years did I think I would have lost 76 pounds in 6 months!!! This morning when I was in the shower I realized that it has been a long time since my big butt has knocked the shampoo off of the shelf in the shower. I couldn't even turn around in my shower without knocking something over. This morning while I was being so careful not to knock my booty into it, I realized that I couldn't even if I wanted to!!! Now, that is a cool feeling! I am waiting for hubby to download my pictures girls... I got my hair chopped off and highlighted and my friends didn't even recognize me Saturday night!!! Keep up the great work!!!! Tomorrow is weigh in day!!! YAYYYY!!! So close to my mini goal of 250! Then I will be headed straight for 225!

I Have A Date!!!!
Try and do as they say with the low carb diet. It will make your surgery easier. They want your liver to shrink some for surgery so they tell you to eat this way. You have chosen a great Doctor! I couldn't be more happy about my lifestyle change. I do not regret for one second the choice to have this surgery. I had horrible gas pains, not all people do... so make sure you get some chewable Gas X. My favorite thing was the Sugar Free Fudge Popsicles. They are yummy!!! Best of luck to you!

Does anyone here Home School?
From a kid's point of view... I was in public school from 1st thru 4th grade, then Catholic school in the 5th and 6th... Then homeschooled for 7th and 8th (which I drug out for 3 years) I finally insisted that my mother send me back to school. I was crawling deeper and deeper into a hole. Kids need the social aspects of school... which you can get when homeschooled if you try... I have read your story and I would be put out with the school system also... but just stick with your commitment to do it. You have to stay on top of things as I am sure you well know since you have done it before. I just cringe at the thought of how shy and horrible my home school life was. My mom is great, but she was not at that time disciplined to do this. It is a LOT of work and takes a lot out of a mom. Plus, having your kids with you all day every day... I know this sounds like I am downing homeschooling, but it definitely was not for me. I wish you the best of luck and I know that you are quite capable of doing this. Just please make sure the kiddos get involved in some other things with kids their age.

I just realized...
Oh Susan!!! I don't know how many times I will tell you this... you are doing SO AWESOME!!! You are a model bandster and such an inspiration!!! YOU ROCK!!!! My realization hit me Friday night when I put on a bathing suit and turned to look in the mirror. I was prepared for the worst!!! Didn't look half bad though. It was an Old Navy suit size 14/16 I believe. I even when swimming in it My husband and I played in the pool and had a blast, something I normally wouldn't have done. He kept picking me up and throwing me around and it just felt good to be almost normal!!!

Annie Wilson's lapband what happened?
I might sound dumb... what is Heart and who is Annie Wilson. I saw the recent pictures, but what did she look like before?
-
Wanna be healthy, but afraid to be thin?
I definitely do not want to be thin. I want to be normal. I am like JerseyTammy and scared to death I will never be there. I like my curves and do not want to be the model type... I have nightmares now occasionally that I go to the store and try on a size 28 jeans, and they don't zip up. I am scared almost everyday... that the scale will just go back up to 300 and something.
