My lapband surgery date is set for May 24 :clap2: !! Dr. Spivak is performing my operation in Houston. Please keep me in your prayers that day.

I live north of Houston in The Woodlands and met with a support group last Thursday. It was a small group but sooooo informative. They will meet again Thursday, May 18, @ 6:30 pm at Cafe Express on Market Street right off of Six Pines in The Woodlands. I have to say I was nervous :nervous but after meeting fellow lapbanders:girl_hug:, I'm feeling less nervous and even anxious to get the surgery. As they talked about their surgeries and post surgeries I felt more and more comfortable. Eighteen more days and counting.

Hey Big Red, I believe we were mixed up on our neighborhoods. I live across town close to Katy. So glad you made the meeting and have your date set.

I have my consultation May 29, and the seminar on June 7. My insurance will do 100%. My highest weight was 245lb in 2001 .Today I'm 214lb at 5'2

Congrats Ann! I live in The Woodlands also, but haven't made it to a meeting yet. I was banded March 14th at the SurgiCenter by Dr. Collier. My daughter got her band today. I have heard good things about Dr. Spivak so you should be in good hands.
