I am from Vidor and last week they had an update on her. They reported she died from Viral meningitis. They didn't say anything about having the lap band. Just thought I would give you all an update and to encourage you all to keep up the good work and keep her in your prayers...

Hi everyone....I am finally on the other side....I was Banded on Wednesday by Dr. Spiegel in Houston and everything went very smooth. As of today no complications and I am sore a little but more than anything I am so thankful that I am on the road to recovery and a new life completely. If anyone is having 2nd thoughts about having this.....I can only say.....I would do it all over again. Than you all for your prayers, thoughts and kind words that got me through the surgery. Dr. Speigel is wonderful. I already lost 5 lbs.. :clap2:

Thank you Paula I am glad to hear you are doing fine. I am having surgery in the morning and nervous but not nervous enough to back out...LOL I will stop in again on the other side .Have a great day and keep me in your prayers.

Hello, Well here I am, I am new. My surgery date is scheduled for May 17, 2006 in Houston with Dr. Spiegel and I am really nervous. I am so thankful I have found this site as I know I will be coming here quite often in the future.
