An Open Letter to my Bathroom Scale-
Well, I got a fill! It's about time! It wasn't bad. It hurt like hell when he was pushing on that spasming muscle, but the fill itself was a breeze. He used numbing medicine. He did that weird thing where he pulls out the Fluid that's in there and then puts it back in with more fluid. I guess they check to see how much is still there? Anyway, he said I was doing well and was right on track. I was told I'd get 1cc today, but he gave me 2! So I'm up to 4ccs in my 10cc band. You were right, I was worrying for nothing. How was yours??

An Open Letter to my Bathroom Scale-
Mine's at 2:30! Hope they'll still do the fill. Still having this muscle spasm or whatever in my side.

I have my first one tomorrow, too! Meet you back here tomorrow night to compare notes? :biggrin2:

Pain in right side
This morning I was sitting at my desk and stood up, and a sharp pain hit me in my right side. It hung around for a few minutes. It hurt worse everytime I took a deep breath. Felt like a muscle cramp. Then the pain went away. Tonight...after participating in "the horizontal mambo", as someone put it recently, it started again. This time it's worse. It hurts when I bend over or move a certain way. Still feels like a cramp or something and it's very painful. So...after searching LBT and not finding any real answers quickly enough, I called the doctor on call. He said it sounds like a muscle spasm near the port. I just wanted to post this in case anyone else has had this experience or does in the future. I'm going in for a fill tomorrow, finally, and he said they'd take a look at me then.

How did you choose your username?
Ok...I participate in a 12 step group...NA...and I was using 12stepn on everything. Then, I found it was taken on a lot of sites, so I morphed it into ts = twelve step or twelve steppin. And the last part is my name, Kelli. I wish I hadn't done it now. After I had been using it a long time, someone asked me if I was transexual. Not that I have anything against transexuals, that's just not who I am. Anyways...my DH is 11 years older than me. Me and my girls rag him hard about it every chance we get!

Hello from South Carolina
Dr. Prickett did my friend's surgery. She actually works at Baptist. She says she's been very pleased with him. Thanks for the compliment! I lost a lot in the first couple of weeks on the liquid diet. It has tapered off some, but I'm still losing steadily. The key for me has been walking and eating Protein and veggies before carbs. I couldn't be happier with my band! I'm going tomorrow for a fill. I'm excited about having a little more restriction. Keep in touch!

Do you have words that irritate you?
My DH is from the low-country of SC where they say everything differently. Sometimes it drives me nuts. Instead of telling me to roll up the window, or let it down, or however you want to say it, he uses the words "up" and "down" as verbs. "Up the window" or "Down the window". He also says "You know what I'm saying?" twenty-thousand times a day. Irritates the hell out of me.

Rewards
When I lose 50 lbs, I'm getting a new tattoo. I got my first one 6 months ago. Yes, 37 years old getting a tattoo. Mid-life crisis? Who knows? But they're like Lay's chips... I'm still thinking about what I want when I meet goal. I haven't decided at this point.

What is your "dream outfit"?
I knew there was a reason I liked you.

TV shows you love
My favs are Law & Order: SVU, almost anything on Discovery Health Channel, A&E, National Geographic, or the History Channel. I also like South Park and Girlfriends. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I absolutely MUST watch The Big Give. I hope they do another one after this one is over!

Hello from South Carolina
A friend of mine had surgery about 3 weeks ago at Baptist. She liked it there, and is doing very well!

What is the most you've ever weighed? The least?
It's a shame I don't know how much I weighed as a baby. My girls ranged from 6lbs 7oz to 8lbs 14oz. Funny, the biggest baby is now 17 and not overweight. The smallest, my first, is 18 and weighs a little over 200lbs. The rest of the gang are normal weight.

Hello from South Carolina
Hey there all you SC folks! I live in Lexington, but I'm from Spartanburg originally. Riverside Surgical, Dr. Antonetti, did my surgery at LMC. I love my band! Keep us updated on how y'all are doing! Kelli

Vomit is my friend. =)
Thanks, Gibson! You'll be there before you know it! I think I may have the advantage of already having 2ccs in my 10cc band from surgery. I still have some restriction. It's fading, though. I get a 1cc fill this Thursday...8 weeks and 2 days after my surgery! I'm so ready!

What is the most you've ever weighed? The least?
The highest recorded is 328. I may have been more at some point, not sure. I got down to 260 a couple of years ago, but gained it all back. I think it will be a milestone when I get below that. I weighed 240 when I was 16. I think I may have been lower at some point during my adult life, but I don't remember. I don't think I've been under 200 in a long, long time.

What are you eating in a day?
My surgeon said no rice, bread, or pasta when I was on the mushy stage. After that, the info he gave us was that we could eat them in moderation. I try to stay away from all 3 because of the carbs, but I do have a bite or two sometimes. Rice goes down fine, pasta goes down fine, bread doesn't feel good, so I tend not to eat it.

What food/drink do you miss the most?
I didn't really miss soda til one day last week when I was in the convenience store trying to find something lo-cal to drink. I was so thirsty! Man that soda looked good! But, I got a flavored Water, got in the car, and forgot about it. I missed popcorn, too. I tried the light butter kind the other day and it went down okay. I only ate a little, though. I used to eat the whole bag with butter, cheese and whatever else I could throw in there.

Where do you live?
I had the good fortune to visit Canada 3 times last year on business trips. We drove from Buffalo to Waterloo the first 2 trips. I got to visit Niagara Falls 3 times! The Kitchener/Waterloo area is really nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the markets and the Minnonites. I would love to visit again one of these days!

Share your NSV's!!!!!!!!!!
I finally cleaned out my closet this past weekend. I got rid of all the size 26 jeans/pants. Gave them to charity. I can comfortably wear 24's and some are loose, and I can get in, with a little squeeze, size 22! Yipee!
