More room in my skin (saggy just sound sad)
Anyone else want to add anything?

Dr.Fass in this group did my lap band, which worked amazing for me. He did my lipoma removal, gall bladder removal, lap band removal (horrible slip while 26 weeks after throwing up for days and days due to a gall stone lodged in my duct) and will be sleeving me on 6/28/13. I love him, he always makes me feel listened to and takes time to answer me. His nurse Jenna is a saint and works her butt off. They are amazing.

this makes me very sad... It sounds like you settled for less than you wanted out of a relationship because you thought you didn't deserve better because of your looks... If you are with a man who treats you like that, he will treat you like that whether you are fat or skinny.
My husband treats me the same whether I'm skinny or fat, people told me sometimes what a good husband I had because he didn't care about the weight gain and loved me the same? I would think what the hell? so he's a saint for staying with me?
No he is a man who loves his wife and I love him and we made a commitment for life. To be side by side through all of our changes. Me being fat or him losing hair has no bearing on the core relationship.
Please know that you need to stop selling yourself short and you are much more than just your outward appearance.

I think gas-x has a placebo effect on people. The gas in your body is not in the intestinal track so it really does nothing for you. Only time and walking make it better.

I have the exact same issue and did have it checked by a doctor. Mine is indeed a yeast infection that recurs frequently. My doctor wrote me a prescription and, believe it or not, told me to make sure I contact her every time it starts so it can be documented in my medical record. She said it is a direct result of my hanging skin, no air getting in there and dead skin, etc., getting trapped. It may prove valuable information should I ever decide I need a Tummy Tuck and possibly getting it covered due to medical reasons.

I don't think you are crazy, I was the same. I tried a plethora of diets and work outs etc. Even if I did loose weight it wouldn't stay off with out assistance. You could look into self pay or Mexico self pay.
Was this comment meant to be helpful? It mostly sounded like you were being an insensitive a** to me, especially since you have already had surgery.

It's been a year this week. I am headed to the beach. It's also my husband and my 5 year anniversary. My surgon never set a goal and my personal goal was based on bmi. I haven't technically hit reached that personal numbers goal yet but here are some goals I have met:
I can now run 20 minutes comfortably without walking so I jog 40 mins 5-6 days a week. Couldn't even shuffle quickly forward (what jogging used to look like) for 3 minutes pre surgery without gasping like a fish out of Water.< /p>
I had to buy all new clothes. All new. Bras undies and shoes too!
I sleep naked and walk around naked IN FRONT of my husband. I used to be too ashamed and would change clothes quickly hiding in the closet. Extra details probably belong in the ladies forum but you can imagine there have been other improvements...
    No more fat girl waddle.
I feel pretty. Out and out pretty. Men smile at me. People are nicer. That goal is harder to explain but it impacts every facet of my life.
    I have low blood pressure.
I am no longer pre diabetic.
    I don't snore any more.
I am not dreading the bathing suit part of the beach. Not wearing a two piece, but even at 19 I wasn't a two piece kinda girl.
Goal is a Fluid concept. Would do this sleeve again every time.

OK, I am a little over a month out. I am struggling getting in my Protein (aren't we all). So today I was determine to get at least 60g in my body. I had it all figured out.... so I thought. I had a can of tuna - which is on 3 oz of meat. I figured if I took an hour to eat it I could fit it all in and make that protein mark! Nope.... I was feeling what I believe if my new "full" ( I am still learning) but there was just one more bite left. I did it... I ate the one more bite... OOOOOOOPS...... Wont be doing that again! I thought it went down... but it just kind of sat there almost in my tummy. then that one last bite came back out! I didnt loose my whole lunch - just that one last bite - but... ugh what a horrible feeling and apin just before it came back out! Lesson Learned!!! DONT EAT THAT ONE LAST BITE! I am going to measure things out from now on too. 1/4 and no more!

Today was very challenging for me. While being off work, my boyfriend and I decided to take this time to see the movie The Internship. We always get popcorn and a soda... I love movie popcorn. It was so hard to stay away from it.. I did, but it's still super hard to stay away from it. I'm proud of myself for the choices I've made and look forward to continue my success change here. I'm trying to get into the 100's by August! I WILL get there!!!!

gummykandi reacted to JoiaRox in Giggling @MyFitnessPal
Post-op I've continued to track my caloric intake with MyFitnessPal, primarily because I need to track my Protein so that I can ensure I'm meeting the 70g/day minimum my NUT set for me. I'm still giggling each night when I "complete" the day's entry - MFP tells me each night:
*Based on your total calories consumed for today, you are eating too few calories. Not only is it difficult to receive adequate nutrition at these calorie levels, but you could also be putting your body into starvation mode. Starvation mode lowers your metabolism and makes weight loss more difficult. We suggest increasing your calorie consumption to 1200 calories per day minimum.
Sorry MFP - it's just gonna have to be this way for awhile!
I giggle because I don't think I'd ever seen this warning prior to having my sleeve! At least, not consistently each day!

Well, I started my pre-op diet Friday June 14.. So far so good... my doc has me drinking 2 Protein Shakes & 1 healthy meal per day... I haven't weights myself since starting but my last weight was Thursday 6/13 @ my Dr apt. & I weighed in @ 233lbs. My scheduled surgery date is Friday June 28! I'm still trying to get ready & am in utter disbelief that its coming so fast. I'm excited & nervous. So far the process has gone so smoothly. Whew! It's really happening. Thank you all for your openness on this site/app. You've all helped me in ways you probably wouldn't even believe. I'm just excited to start the next chapter of my life.

Something I wanted to let you guys know...
After getting sleeved, you will feel like you regret even getting it. (Atleast some ppl feel like this, not all)
You will have head hunger.. Thinking you're hungry when you're not... For me it was VERY hard to see the fast food commercials on TV. I thought I was going to die lol
You will get sick & tired of liquids & purée... It sucks big time.
I'm over 5 months post op ; & I am letting you know now.. IT GETS ALOT EASIER!!!!
Knock out your few weeks of the soft foods stage & you will feel better about surgery! & when you get farther in your journey ; you'll deff realize that you don't regret it.
    Hope this helps some ppl!

Congratulations! I found that thinking about the "what if I don'ts" helps me when I am feeling fearful or anxious. What if I don't have this surgery then....I can't chase my kiddos....feel better physically (hip and back pain)....die early from a heart attack walking up the stairs. Morbid maybe, but it helps me. Good luck with your surgery
