  1. I keep running into this recipe and most people seem to love it. My question is after this is baked does it have to be pureed or do we eat it just baked?
  2. I had surgery at 1:30 pm and remember waking up in my room around 6:30pm. I was scheduled to go home the next day. My surgeon and his team came around the next morning, I was feeling good. Shortly after they left the new nurse on staff gave me morphine as a pain reliever through my IV and I quickly went downhill. I was so nauseous, vomiting, and sick and didn't feel better until it wore off later that evening. I almost regretted getting the surgery. To answer your question, I stayed in the hospital two nights. My advice is to stick with what's working. A new nurse came in and switched my pain medication and it completely switched my course and my hospital bill!
  3. Yes. I hate the chewables, yuck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Not me.. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App I haven't either, the thought makes me sick but I'm going to start today. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  4. I so agree about the comments! I feel like people can be a little nicer even if you're direct. Anywho, best wishes on your journey, I'm 7 days post-op.
  5. Did everyone start taking their Vitamins already? Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  6. I had a little diarrhea two days post op then I finally went for real yesterday, I'm six days out Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  7. Really??? I know they are high in sodium but i only had the 2.... Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App I say do what works for you! that's all we can do at this point (post-op) Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  8. Actually my soft food phase/pureed foods start 7 days post-op, I have my nutritional bible to prove it...lol... and the meeting with my NUT a couple of days before surgery Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  9. I can't wait to try scrambled eggs! You really need to push yourself to meet your water and protein goals. For the simple fact that you don't want to run into any dehydration issues, I've heard horror stories about that. That's what keeps me sipping all day, I'm totally scared of dehydration. Good luck :-) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Yes I'm being very intentional today!
  10. Pickles are a no no in the bible I received from NUT but it doesn't say anything about pickle juice. In sure it's probably due to the sodium content Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  11. When does your pureed/soft food phase begin?
  12. Hey I'm the next day, April 19th. I haven't been able to meet my Water and Protein goals but I am staying hydrated by sipping, eating Popsicles, Jello, andI'm about to try some applesauce right now. I starting to think my inability to meet my goals is more psychological than anything. For example, I probably can drink more but I'm scared I'll mess something up. I'm on day 7 tomorrow and that actually starts my pureed/soft foods phase. I look forward to trying a mashed ripe banana and I might even try some watery oatmeal or scrambled eggs. I'm taking it slow! Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  13. Not sure but I planned on asking my NUT tomorrow if I could even chew gum and when Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  14. I am exactly six days post-op and have been unable to meet my water and protein goals. It's not that I can't keep anything down because I can, but anymore than an ounce, I feel like I'm over doing it. What are some tips or routines that have helped you on your journey early on to meet your goals? I'm still on full liquids. And yes I will talk to my NUT tomorrow once they get into the office
  15. Congratulations! I wish I had a smile like that right after lol Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  16. Hi all, I'm now sleeved and 5 days post op so I made it... Lol... thanks for the feedback and yes the sugar free Popsicles were allowed on the pre-op diet. I started strictly clear liquids at 5pm the day before surgery and absolutely nothing after midnight. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  17. Congratulations! Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Hi. How are you feeling? I was sleeved on the same day. The first couple of days were rough but here I am day 4 and feeling better everyday. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  19. I think she can sense that mommy is in a little pain and not to mention I've been away in the hospital for two days. Did anyone else have small kids when you had the surgery? How did you fair? I also have a 10 and 15 year old that have been a great help while my husband is at work. It's breaks my heart when she's grabbing on me to pick her up
  20. Hi, my primary care doctor told me I should expect to lose, then regain a little and my body/weight would stabilize there. That was from her experience with sleeve patients Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  21. Day 3 as well and headed home from the hospital. I haven't started on Protein yet but I plan on it. So glad things are staying down. First two days were rough Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  22. I'm having a rough time. Puking a lot, I puke every time I take my pain medicine which is liquid, and even sometimes when I only drink the smallest sip of Water I puke. I've been in a lot of pain, and can hardly drink anything due to throwing up and all the pressure in my chest. My follow up appointment is tomorrow. I'm going to explain what's going on and update you on what they decide to do. Thanks for checking on me! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App I'm dealing with the same exact thing. Is sleeved on yesterday 4/19. I hope you're feeling better Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App I was also sleeved on 4/19.... same issue Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App I'm feeling better today, day 3. I actually started off feeling somewhat okay yesterday but the nurse gave me some morphine and two other drugs through my iv and it was downhill from there until it wore off I guess. I'm hoping to go home today. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
