Ack, "fishing"! Wonder why my surgeon was so liberal about me taking my meds without crushing? Fortunately I didn't have to have a fishing expedition!

Same here. All my booklets said to crush them but the surgeon said it'd be fine to swallow them. I still do chewable vitamins and calcium citrate though.

Did the anti nausea medicine help?

Everyone is so different. I had very little pain I was mostly sore like I had done crunches. I had no gas pain at all. Try not to freak yourself out!

Did they give you IV fluids? Ask them about the broth. I can't imagine why you couldn't have it.

Since you're preop can you have some ginger ale?

I could drive as soon as I was off pain meds, but I didn't drive for about ten days because I didn't have anywhere to go [emoji4]

Yes! I asked my surgeon and he said it may or may not come back (thanks man!). So, 6 weeks later, it's starting to feel normal. Surgeon said if it didn't come back to normal I'd get used to it.

What shakes are you using now? Try just water while you're feeling nauseated. I had to order them online but if you have a GNC near you they'd have a better variety.

Call your Dr. Someone should be on call.

Can you try a different shake with different ingredients? I couldn't handle the premier protein shakes and has to order unjury brand.

I was around 400 I believe. It went up quickly when I moved to purée.

I have always wanted to paint but I was waiting for the cold weather. I'm envious of your energy. I'm still lacking much. I will have to find something though. Eating for comfort is no longer an option.

It took me about a week to be able to sleep on my sides. Hated that!

I'm drinking regular coffee (2 cups per day) and was sleeved 5/22.

By the time you start purée you'll feel much better! First week is lousy but it gets way better.

My tastes didn't change either. Kinda wish they had. Although it's quite easy to not over eat.
