Are You Still Seeing Your NUT?
Ha! I'm a cheez it junkie too. And don't try giving me cheese nips either! I saw a Pinterest "recipe" where they just baked the very thin Sargento cheese slices. I haven't tried it yet.

Weight gain after surgery
Yes. It's due to the IV fluids and swelling. Just stay off the scale for the first couple weeks to a month. Focus on healing. It happened to lots of us

The divorce diet
It seems from reading on here that if you have a solid relationship going into surgery you will be fine. There has been no negative effect to mine. The relationships that fall apart seem to be the unhealthy and unhappy ones.

Sleeping after surgery
So funny! I bet she was shocked.

Sleeping after surgery
Omg! I can't even imagine. You're badass!

Dating is Awkward
Has anyone from here met and fell in love? Just curious. It'd be a great story.

CIPRO and related warnings to everyone
I will definitely ask to have all the vitamins checked on a regular basis if they don't order it. I'm only six weeks out so they've just checked and I was right on point with everything, but I am taking multi-calcium-B12 right now so I expected to be. Thanks.

Do they always go in laparoscopic?
Is this a current copy of insurance requirements? My insurance changed their policies on WLS quite a few times over the years.

Soups
Idk about your plan. I was allowed diet V8 splash.

Starving.
Are you getting all your protein in?

GI spasms
If your drink is cold then try it at room temp or warm. See if changing the temp helps.

Anyone find out they have cyst in thyroid pre-op???
I had what they call a goiter on my thyroid (this was years before surgery). I had to have surgery to have it removed. I would say it depends. They could do a needle aspiration on it to draw some fluid and see if it's benign. How are your thyroid levels?

CIPRO and related warnings to everyone
Sort of a topic switch but does that mean sleeve patients may not need to take vitamins after 2 years?

Anger and agitation
Better now than after surgery. What's your surgery date? I think you still might wanna be on the lookout for a different shake or unflavored protein powder. You don't want to be facing this post op.

Holy crap...all the judgement. If only I got actually money for everyone's 2 cents!
Nah, it didn't come off that way. We just all have to do what's right for us. If someone has thick skin and doesn't care about explaining, I say go for it! I just can't be bothered right now to be an advocate for WLS. [emoji6]

Holy crap...all the judgement. If only I got actually money for everyone's 2 cents!
I think after I lose weight and feel more comfortable with my new way of life I'll be happy to talk about it. Being so new, I don't want to deal with it. Eventually-but this time is my time for me to learn and adjust.

CIPRO and related warnings to everyone
Holy crap! Glad you avoided lasting injury!

Anger and agitation
I'm really wondering if you have a bug. No fever or anything?
-
Complication? It's not working, there's a complication
Definitely keep it! It's not easy immediately post op and it could help someone. I'm so glad you're doing better! I can't do anything on the app so if I want to update something I go into the desktop site (even then it's not very user friendly). Congrats though!

Is something wrong with me?
Hey! I could've written this! Exactly how I feel. How far out are you?

Is something wrong with me?
Don't worry. You'll feel restriction when you start eating dense protein. I thought something was wrong with me too. I avoid eating to fullness but I have done it and you'll know it when you feel it.

Holy crap...all the judgement. If only I got actually money for everyone's 2 cents!
Because I have no patience for the types of comments you received, I'm only telling a select few. I have enough to focus on without negative comments (even well meaning ones go right through me). It's sad that we feel we have to defend a decision to improve our life. Ugh!

New here
Welcome and congrats. It's a roller coaster but for me, all worth it.

Post-op 3 days vocal cord damage; Hernia Repair
Wow. I'm so sorry. I hope it's not serious. That's frightening. Idk if the drinking is related to your throat. If it's not then it definitely improves as you heal.

Worried about Saggy Skin
It's also genetic. Hopefully you're one of the lucky ones! My arms are going to be an issue, I can already tell [emoji30]
