  1. Also, change the locks.
  2. Oh pobrecita. I'm sorry you're going through this. You will get through it if you keep the faith and stay strong. A good lawyer can help protect you and your children in many ways and will be worth the money upfront. Is there any chance a good friend or family member can help you out with the money?
  3. Get a lawyer. The best one in town.
  4. I love eating fish! Great recipe. Too bad I live in an apartment with no grill. City living has its downsides. Not that I'll be eating fish for a few weeks to a month anyway (I'm a week away from surgery) but when I make it in the oven I like to cook it en papillote. My go to is a nice piece of fish with some chipped ginger, lemongrass, and kefir leaves wrapped up in parchment paper. Bake it at 350 until the paper puffs up (10-15 min) Unwrap and you've got a fragrant healthy flavor steamed piece of fish. You can throw veggies in the parchment too and they'll cook right alongside the fish.
  5. I'm still preop, surgery is 1 week away and I still haven't told a soul except my medical team and this message board. I thought I would have told a family member or close friend by now but I haven't yet. Not sure what I'll end up doing.
  6. Oh, I've heard of Branson. It looks so fun. And yes we can do this !
  7. They check purses at the movie theaters you guys go to?
  8. My work paid for the pre check and global entry, but I would gladly have paid $1000 to not have to stand in those security lines again. I get to the airport 20-30 min before my flight if it's domestic these days and I love it. Anytime spent in an airport is wasted time to me unless it's a nice airport. But in NYC we don't have nice airports. Those are few and far between. Also, @@beach lover I am intrigued. Tell me more about these blinged out Capri pants
  9. @@betterme38 down on the Gold Coast of Florida, Palm Beach. I KNOW I have a fatty liver from the ultrasound so I really want it to shrink as much as possible. Honestly I should have been trying to lose weight harder over the last 8 months or so. Regretting that. So even though I just have a 5 day preop diet I've been on a mostly liquid super low carb diet for the past two weeks or so anyway. The best way to look at it is a super head start I guess! Where is your trip?
  10. I only have a 5 day preop diet so it doesn't start until Saturday. My surgeon wants me to lose 4 more lbs by surgery day of July 7th! I am just so excited to be in the sun, by the pool and the ocean without work bothering me that I don't even care that I can't eat or drink.
  11. @@betterme38 did your vacation/preop diet happen already? I leave for mine on Sunday.
  12. great info. i love PB2 but have been wondering about other options because of the sugar. thanks @@OutsideMatchInside
  13. John Frieda makes a great glossing treatment that leaves your hair shiny and moisturized for about two weeks after you use it, you can use it as often as you like: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod620050

Too funny...I might wear a bathing suit! Not a bad idea.
  15. Hi @@KristenLe, since you asked me about this a couple of times wanted to update you. I spoke to my surgeon today and he is not concerned about the flight or blood clots. All good.
  16. Just a bump to say I spoke to my surgeon today and he said I will be cleared to swim after my first pre-op visit which is about 4-5 days after surgery. Nothing too strenuous for 2 weeks, but I'm fine to hang out in the pool or the ocean after that first check up.
  17. Based on advice from this board, I've tried mixing GENEPRO protein into hot coffee and hot soup and it was perfectly fine each time.
  18. Pre-op diet doesn't start until July 2nd but I've been trying to follow it early so I can lose as much weight as possible. However couldn't pass up a glass of sancerre tonite. Oenophiles you know what I'm talking about !
  19. Pretty awesome husband ! And thanks for sharing the paper @rickm
  20. I happened by a GNC on my way to the subway last night and decided to pop in and try one of the Isopure clear drinks. They were having a buy one get one 50% off everything in the store sale so I immediately forgot everyone's advice to NOT stock up before surgery and ended up buying a bag of Isopure Zero Carb vanilla, Quest Peanut Butter Flavor, a Blender Bottle, some single serve Proteins, PB2, etc. Ooops. Also, the red Isopure drink was not delicious. But given that it is clear and has 40g of Protein I think I will keep 2-3 bottles on hand for the days immediately post op.

I hope we get a real answer too. I don't even need my stomach to be tan, I won't be wearing a bikini. Just want my arms and legs etc to get a good glow before I travel. But was always scared to try it.

Anyone ever get a spray tan while fat or with loose skin? Did you have to lift your skin up for the technician? I don't know why I have anxiety about getting a spray tan right now but figured this is the right place to ask!
  23. Goal weights are tricky at our height. The lowest I recall weighing was in the 120s and I looked pretty great but that was over 10 years ago. I think I would look more than fine at 100-115 lbs but I just don't think I will ever weigh so little. Just want to get as much weight off as possible and feel healthier...more energetic...stronger.
  24. Yeah, if I'm not such a sweet thing I wanna do everything What a beautiful feelin' Crimson and clover Over and over
  25. I was going to recommend Madewell as well if you like Anthro vibes. Also any good department store will have a section of festival inspired looks- barneys, neimans, saks etc Asos has cute stuff online and for soooo cheap.
