  1. I'm on my way to the hospital as well !
  2. Us n00bs are just gonna take way more than we can give up until we aren't newbies anymore. I could definitely see how that could be frustrating- especially when you're getting piled on for sharing your knowledge. Not to sound like #1 creeper but just know that plenty of us are spending a lot of time reading through your old posts, soaking up knowledge, taking notes, trying to succeed. That goes to all of you vets, but especially you @@Kindle I really get a lot from your posts.
  3. How long until the magnesium citrate works? I finished the bottle about an hour ago and now I'm just waiting.
  4. I'm tomorrow as well. They just called me tell me to come by 8:15. I'm thinking about calling to purchase a private room. What did you all do?
  5. When I realized that I couldn't just stop overeating to lose weight. If I tackled overeating I could stop gaining and gaining but in order to lose I needed to really restrict myself and I knew I couldn't succeed at that without a tool. So it was that and after I'd done enough research to satisfy safety concerns.
  6. Laughing at how optimistic I was here. Yes, I easily avoided all the usual temptations near home like pizza, chips, ice cream, takeout. But I cheated on my liquid diet almost every day with small servings of raw or fresh grilled fish for dinner and one night that fish came with a side of baby artichokes. Today is the last day before surgery and I'll stick to all liquids but ugh! I suck. Haha.
  7. Good luck today @@ChrisInc2 @@Ashley Nd Michael Fisher @@CaitlinT @@Shelli1972
  8. I cheated as well. I had a Bloody Mary and some tuna tartare topped with caviar. Ahhhhh.
  9. I'm 4 days away and I'm freaking out a little too. Mostly about a big cut I have on my pinky toe because I tend to fixate on irrelevant things. I'm worried It will get a terrible hospital infection.
  10. At my preop appt the other day, they told me to take the gel off my index finger and leave the rest.
  11. This is one of the best posts I've ever read
  12. Also- the kind of whitening we did for my teeth involved some kind of laser/light and custom trays with carbomide peroxide. This was a few years ago but I kept the trays and buy the carbomide peroxide on Amazon to periodically rewhiten.
  13. A lot of brands make a clear wax lip liner now so you don't have to worry about feathering or going out of the lines. I think the Too Faced one is called Lip Fence. It's amazing product. Especially for all the creamy matte styles that are out these days. I'm a Ruby Woo girl too. It has that gorgeous blue undertone that works so well.
  14. @@Candygyrl appreciate the honesty a lot! And glad to hear all went well. Thanks for kicking off July!
  15. Once I realized I was gonna go through with the surgery (5 days away...eek!) I bagged up all my skinny clothes from days gone by that I love and put them aside. I have lots of stuff size 4 - 14. I'm a 16-18 now. Some of them never really fit me and I just bought because I had to have it. I'm really looking forward to tearing open those bags. There's some Kira Plastinia in there, vintage Escada, filth mart, I even have some fur coats that I sized up and out of. I also donated a ton of my fat clothes already. Clothes that I never even really wanted to own, but couldn't fit into anything cute and needed them to get by. So many of those. Ugh! Oh and @@FrankiesGirl you have to post a pic of that rhinestone and pearl dress, it sounds amazing ! I have a long 40s style dress with a big pearl collar and sequins that come in on the side like a V. I kind of want to have it made into a mini.
  16. Nothing looks better than Ruby Woo and white teeth!
  17. Also I'm super pale with dark, almost black hair.
  18. I have a couple of bridges and crowns and I got the whitest shade possible. In my case, what we did was whiten my natural teeth over a few months to see how white they would get. Once that was done they happened to match to the whitest shade. I think it was B1 but don't remember. I do remember being very impressed with myself for matching the whitest shade LOL. So now I just periodically use the whitening trays (once every couple of months?) to spruce up my "natural teeth" and keep them at the same shade as the fakes.
  19. - keeping up with my nephews - dancing all night long at the club - feeling confident in the front row at a concert when the lead singers looks at me! - shopping somewhere besides the beauty counters at the best stores: Jeffrey, bergdorfs, bendel - roller blading
  20. I know...I will need support. I just haven't figured out yet who I want to get that support from. And as you all know, you can't "untell" people. So I'm waiting and will still think about it. I have 6 days until surgery. And if I don't figure it out beforehand I can always tell after.
  21. Oh honey don't feel stupid. You're dealing with it from all sides. Just know you will get through it, fight for what you deserve, and look forward to a happier safer future.
  22. Pool by the beach. Beach by the pool!
