  1. love the pink shoes! you look great.
  2. Silver shoes would look nice and they go with everything so it's good investment. There is an incredible leg product and it's astoundingly cheap. The Sally Hansen spray on pantyhose. I have fair skin and use the light glow shade. I never in my LIFE thought I would be in love with a drugstore spray on product because I am a total snob, but it is a holy grail. It makes your legs so smooth and even. Just be careful to apply it (although it is way easier to apply than self tanner. It does shade you though, so make sure you blend it through to your feet. If I'm wearing sandals I just put it all over the top and back of my feet as well. I have so many friends who use it. It's mind blowing.
  3. @@MissKay not uhhhhh to hijack the thread or anything but a taco shell made out of CHEESE? Where did you get that? I need to know!
  4. @@Bee healthy I'm averaging 7-800 calories/day. 60-80 grams of protein and under 30 carbs. What regular foods did you try? I've been sticking with deli turkey because I had it in the house. Amazing how little money I spend on food now!
  5. I've lost the same amount of weight since my 5 day pre-op diet and had surgery a day after you. Personally, I think I'm killin' the weight loss game and you should too. It's a lot of weight in not a lot of time!
  6. I usually put it on the table because my clutches are always so special and beautiful that everyone likes to look at them. I know it sounds like I'm kidding but I'm kind of not. It can go in your lap.
  7. I don't think I felt any restriction on purees to be honest. I was allowed to have well chewed soft food as part of my purees though, so maybe a little bit with something like tuna fish. I feel it now on the full soft food phase with stuff like grilled chicken and ground meat.
  8. I like clutches the best for special occasions and formal events. You can buy one in a neutral metallic shade (gold, silver, gunmetal, copper) and it will go with everything. A clutch is also a great way to add a pop of color. A red clutch with a navy dress? So cute. Add red lipstick and you have a whole look. At your young age I would avoid the kind of matronly chain strap beaded clutches that you can find at all the dress shops and look for something a little bit more funky! There are clutches that look like kisses, books, or have fun sayings on them. You can do something in a hard box shape. I love love love lucite clutches. Also think about how your manicure, bracelets, and rings will look against your clutch! I can post some pictures if that helps.
  9. I didn't really have any pain. The worst it ever got was a 1-2 on the pain scale when I got in and out of bed or up from sitting. More like a pulled muscle than anything especially painful.
  10. For the meals I prepare at home I use a food scale to weigh out 2 oz portions. On purees it's really hard to know when to stop because they may not fill you up, so the food scale is clutch.
  11. Actually when I was on Weight Watchers years ago, not drinking with your meal was one of the rules. So I think it is out there.
  12. @@JennyJennJen my surgeon allows carbonation at 2 weeks post op. I can't drink beer bc of celiac and I don't like soda but I have tried seltzer post-op and enjoyed it enormously. Wow!
  13. My pureed/soft food stage was basically the same thing- but I would double check how much you're eating to satisfaction. Do you have a food scale? Did your doctor recommend a specific amount of food to eat? Mine recommended 2 oz and sometimes that's satisfying, sometimes I could eat more. But I stick to the 2 oz whenever I can because doctors orders.
  14. I was a major water drinker as well. I'm just about a month post op now. It didn't matter so much during the puree stage, but now that I've moved on to dense protein it is actually uncomfortable to drink water after eating, sometimes even an hour or 90 minutes after! So I have to rethink my eating/drinking schedule to make sure I get enough water in. I do believe it gets easier as more time passes.
  15. I'm the opposite and am deathly afraid of wrinkles. You could find the best cosmetic dermatologist in your town and address it with them. A good derm will be able to help you come up with a proper skincare regimen, potentially prescribe prescription strength retinols, and discuss the possible use of injectables and fillers to even out your wrinkles. Fillers and other injectables are so excellent these days that the traditional facelift will be obsolete in a decade.
  16. I had surgery on a Thursday and was in the office Tuesday. Easily could have gone in Monday. But everyone is different - it depends on what kind of work you do, your state of health before surgery, many factors.
  17. Really, that depends on what you're seeking!
  18. Hi I'm just about week 4 and even though I have no trouble with food so far, I don't have the time to constantly eat 2 oz portions in order to get enough Protein. So I am doing my best with food and then supplementing with shakes. Most days I have a greek yogurt or cottage cheese, turkey slices rolled up in provolone, chicken breast or tuna fish. If I go out to a restaurant I order fish or some other soft meat, like a pulled pork or chicken or I have sashimi. I snack on babybel or other types of cheese. I honestly haven't tried veggies yet, mostly because I haven't had room after getting in my protein.
  19. You can ask your doctor about medication that will you help fall and/or stay asleep. Or ask if you can try melatonin. I used to take rx sleep aids, but I didn't love the way they worked so now I use liquid melatonin most nights and it puts me into sleep mode. I'll occasionally use the OTC antihistamines if I need something stronger.
  20. I didn't have a gas issue post-op, but one thing my surgeon recommended in addition to walking was getting a back rub.
  21. I slept on my back in bed, but I put a row of pillows on my side to kind of stop me from rolling over in the night. After about 2 days I was fine to sleep on my side.
  22. I wouldn't chalk his behavior up to your weight honey. He was a young guy actively seeking a relationship with a married woman - if he was looking for something serious and long term to be devoted to he wouldn't have proceeded with a MARRIED woman. Plus, he was clearly attracted to you as you were. There are definitely guys out there who chubby chase in secret, they go after the big girls but have the skinny wife at home. That behavior is messed up - but that doesn't sound like it was the case in your situation at all. It sounds like you had a fun, frisky, thrilling affair until it wasn't fun anymore. Just try to remember the good stuff when you need a turn on and leave it at that.
