I have a low BMI (27) and was approved by insurance, But I had the lap-band which failed, so i had what they call revision sugary.
I can tell you I did have trouble finding a doctor to do the sleeve with a low BMI..... It was not as easy as I thought it would be

Best decision I made!!! I have lost more weight and now actually feel full with the sleeve. I was banded in 2012 lost 25lbs then gained 75 back. Finally got revision and loosing at about 2-4 lbs per week. With the band I never found "the sweet" spot and was always to tight or not enough restriction- was like a yo-yo.

Hello,
Your question is one thats been on my mind.. i had the band and lost 55 pounds, it slipped and had to be removed. I have gained 20 pounds back. My weight is 177 and I am 5'4, I have been approved for the sleeve.... I am so worried that I am going to lose to much weight.. Say I lose just 40 pounds I'll be 137, that's to skinny for me.... But if I don't get it I will continue to gain....
I dont know what to do .......

They say if a band has slipped for some reason the new band will slip also. I very happy to hear that you don’t think I’ll lose 50 pounds… that is my concern
