SparkleTime reacted to Caela88 in Expected Weight Loss
That's great!!! I feel the same way. I am 6 weeks out and only down 15lbs. I thought I would drop 20 like nothing. I started at 215lbs, so I figured I may lose slower. Hoping by the 2 month mark I can be down 20lbs. If I can average 10lbs a month I will feel secure in my weight loss! -
SparkleTime got a reaction from Caela88 in Expected Weight Loss
I will be six months out next week and I started at 244. I have lost 42 pounds. So far this chart runs true for me. It says I can expect to lose 35 to 45 pounds. Sometimes I feel disappointed in myself until I look at this chart again to remind myself that I am doing normal.

@@SparkleTime I really like that graphic. It seems reasonable and doable. So many people on these forums seem to have CRAZY expectations of how quickly they will lose and are only in for disappointment. But that info seems pretty conservative and sets a realistic expectation.

SparkleTime reacted to StormWarning in Hairloss
I know everyone fears this, but I would like to share a small bit of priceless information. You will lose hair, there is no avoiding it. You can take all the Vitamins possible to minimize the loss but it will happen. When I met the doctor I am going to be using at a seminar he explained all of this. After he was finished and we all had horrified looks on our faces, he asked one final question. How many weight loss patients do you see bald? Good question, I look to the other side of the room where all the beautiful, and handsome skinny people were sitting and NOT one of them was bald. You hair is going to thin, but it will come back, and you should Never GO BALD...

Thank you sparkle time for this graph!
I have been feeling confused as I have lost 20pound at the 6 week mark (no stalls just slow and steady losses).. And some people who have lost much more than me are upset at their loss..
This graph indicates I am exactly where I'm expected to be (as the nut & surgeon told me).
Start weight was 220- BMI 33
